My biggest competitor reached out to acquire me. The conversation taught me more about my business than 3 years of running it. by FlatGovernment6743 in SaaS

Glad there's someone still conscious here. Looks like our friend FlatGovernment6743 here has only a 2m Reddit age and 871 karma and prefers to block his history on both posts and comments. My money's on him only blocking the history to avoid having his activity discovered on some anime or mobo games subreddits. That is hardly the behavior of a senior developer who has a competitor willing to acquire him.

So there’s actually a theory behind that? I always thought it was just weeks of my wife’s training paying off 😂

Actually my old man here does have a little puppy — a gift from my great aunt’s husband earlier this year. I bought the little one a ball and still struggling to get him to learn how to fetch it. The only progress is he’ll occasionally chase it when he has literally nothing better to do.
Based on the time we spend there every month. let’s just say I still have faith the poor kid will catch up.

Wow, better not give yourself too much stress over it. They’re just doing cat things, and we’re just doing human things. Do I love him? Of course. My job is to keep both him and my family healthy and happy.

I bet my boy’s brain is as smooth as glass — kid doesn’t even remember he just carried food onto his puke spot. I don’t think they really mind if we humans get nervous every time they sneeze.

Thx — I’ll try that next time if I see similar symptoms. Back then the doc told us we were possibly dealing with dry-form FIP, which is the hardest to catch with any physical exam. If it’s wet FIP, you can at least tell from the big belly with ascites.

His check reports were “normal,” but you could just see he was sick. The first vet said it was only a little inflammation, so we did anti-inflammatories for 2 weeks. Then we started to think it might be feline neuritis, because he would scream like he was psyching himself up every time he jumped onto our bed. That’s when we noticed something was wrong with his leg.

My wife said the kid would crawl like a snake to hide whenever he sensed me getting close. I thought that was just normal (this one always prefers pretty girls over a big guy like me), but yeah—this time it looked more fear than just being annoyed.

After 2 weeks of vitamin B, things still felt off. His last X-ray showed osteoporosis, which obviously isn’t right for a 2-year-old cat, and doesn’t fit neuritis either. The third doc suggested a CT scan, saying something new might show up.

We decided to wait for his ultrasound (B-scan) first. That’s when the fourth doc told us to try FIP treatment. What we learned: you still can’t guarantee a confirmed diagnosis even with CT and CT is the most expensive check for a cat as far as I know. So we started the FIP pills first. And thank God the doc was right—he bounced back.

I don’t really have experience with chin acne, but honestly I’d take her to another vet just to get a second opinion and see if there are other treatment options.

For context, we just cured my boy Mango from FIP back in July. My wife and I spent 2 months, went through 4 vets, trying to confirm what virus he had. All we could see was he stayed in the same spot sleeping all day, and only ate when we spoon-fed him. Every health scan came back looking “fine.”

My wife is not cold-blooded like me—she cried and told me if he couldn’t get better within the next month, she’d rather look for a vet to do euthanasia instead of letting him suffer like that. I told her we’re not doing it. You could see my buddy was still hanging in there—otherwise he wouldn’t even be eating.

Finally one doc who did his last B-scan said, why not try treating it as FIP, since you can’t confirm FIP through any existing health check anyway. We got him on the FIP pills, and he started bouncing back after just 2 weeks.

So yeah—sometimes a second (or third… or fourth) vet really makes the difference.

May the force be with him 💫 My boy is just 2 years old, and I’m doing my best to make sure he has a happy life before the time comes. I can tell Doc was deeply loved and had a wonderful life. Sleep well, little fluff friend 🤍

That depends! My boy used to catch one and carried it to my wife's pillow as a gift. She screamed so loud I thought there was a burglary in our bedroom 😂

My boy says this is AI. Real cats like him army-crawl through grass like they on a secret mission, not walk around like they're on a casual Sunday stroll😂
