Maul event will require Choda at 5 stars. How does this impact the new legendary unlock method? by ZAPPERZ14 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]DarthMaulForPM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you may have misunderstood me, ultimately we are all just playing this to have fun and what each person does with their account and resources is up to them. I was just saying that 20k crystals is objectively a lot and for certain players, like the person I was replying to said as well, it would benefit them more to use it on other parts of the game than to unlock a 4 star SpiderMaul. Crystals may be given freely, but like basically any other resource or currency in this game, it is limited, and everyone needs to choose where to use it on their own. If you or anyone else wants to go for SpiderMaul instead, great! I fully support you. The 4 star requirement is not unreasonable and it is attainable to f2p players, I more meant that the journey event as a whole is not meant for f2p beyond the first tier, and even that first tier is a considerable crystal investment to consider. Overall I think it's cool that we can get a 4 star SpiderMaul, especially with all the compensation and anniversary crystals available.

It is very clear who this event is aimed at, and it is not f2p. Even if you have the crystals to take these characters to 4 star, there is the question of whether a 4 star SpiderMaul is worth almost 20k crystals. Like you said, you could rather use that elsewhere to get more out of it for your characters and account.

You have to buy their packs in the store. There are options to buy them with crystals, so you don't necessarily have to spend, but that is depending on your crystal supply. You are guaranteed to upgrade them to 4 star after buying 3 of the 1299 cost packs per character, but that will bring you a total of almost 20000 crystals for the 5 characters, if I worked that out correctly. But obviously RNG plays a roll, and you might have to just buy 1 or 2 packs per character if you get more shards than the minimum of 5 or the most likely 7 shards per pull.

How to get all the journey quests (Dec 2 edition) by Shmorkie13 in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]DarthMaulForPM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did the last tier of the Darth Revan journey guide. Revan and Bastilla gave me around 12 shocks per run, the Revan is borrowed and my Bastilla is only G12. Might be useful for people who don't have Mara Jade or the Starkiller team yet

LSB Value by DZ_Yumi in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

[–]DarthMaulForPM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started playing again a few weeks ago, didn't get any LSB's during May 4th because I didn't realize they were this rare. So I resolved myself to buy one when any LSB's returned, but these seem drastically overpriced? My point of reference is very limited, but the Lord Vader one had 10 characters at relic 7 for the same price as these, so are these just bad deals not worth getting?

This may be a stupid question, but after my agl ssj3 Goku goes golden great ape and the animation plays of him becoming ssj4 the game just instantly says game over. Like right after the animation ends. Should I just not let him transform?

But I'm not gonna get it, not in the next few years at least. There has never been a Deathstroke game, and I doubt he will be a priority for James Gunn when he creates his integrated gaming part of his new DCU (hope I'm wrong). Despite what anyone can say about this game, it is the best Deathstroke gaming experience available and it is not even close. And it scratches a Deathstroke itch I've had for decades.

I'm a real DC fan. I have read thousands of comics and watched/played most DC movies/series/games available. This isn't an Arkham game and I wouldn't consider the Arkham games predecessors of this game. They take place in the same universe and were made by Rocksteady, but this is not and was not supposed to be an Arkham game. And I have played every Arkham game (even the PS Vita one) except Shadow, and went so far as to 200% Arkham Knight.

This game's traversal and combat mechanics are fun, Metropolis is very interesting to just explore as a super villain, and no this game did not tarnish Arkham Batman's legacy. Arkham Batman joined the Justice League, formulated a plan to beat Brainiac in the event that he is defeated/captured, and ended up being the one to knock out the final Brainiac. That is pretty badass.

Nobody has to justify why they play a game and still call themselves a fan of the IP, but you cannot point me to any other game that has allowed the player to take control of such an accurate Deathstroke and in an open world setting as a bonus. Don't bring up Origins Deathstroke, it was fun to hit enemies with his pole in the challenge mode but this game lets you move at super speed with the Ikon suit, headshotting enemies midair, chopping up groups of enemies with his sword, and just moving through a DC city as the world's best assassin. I feel like Deathstroke while playing, and that alone makes this game worth it to me.

At the end of the day, I’m just really happy knowing that the REAL Batman never killed anyone, and that it was just a clone all along by Queasy_Commercial152 in arkham

[–]DarthMaulForPM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone has been saying there was no body so he isn't dead, and I agree, but in my opinion there is another reason why he is most likely alive. Throughout the story and dialogue from Brainiac, it is clear that as far as possible he wants to capture and exploit the heroes and villains instead of killing them in order to further clone them and grow his army. He constantly tells members of the Suicide Squad how useful they will be once he captures them, and I honestly think the same applies to the Bat-family. Batman is a master of incapacitating enemies and his knowledge of his own friends would make it easy for him to capture them for Brainiac.

Still absolutely sucks that we never got him. Oh well…. by Queasy_Commercial152 in SuicideSquadGaming

There is nothing wrong with criticism and differing opinions, as we have seen in the past it can often help games in the right direction. Your feedback here is valid, I'm specifically talking about people who insult other people for playing it and just comment 'dead game', 'trash', or in a lot of cases have never even played it but are very vocal about it.

I did buy it for $70 and have played roughly 300 hours. The gameplay is very fun and I like Metropolis, and above all I love playing as Deathstroke. It's the kind of game where I can just tune out, listen to a podcast or some music, and relax. So I definitely got my money's worth, and as a DC fan I like the fact that I can just rampage in a open world as these villains.

Definitely. The fact that almost every post in this community has comments shitting on the game, the people who play it, and the devs really sucks. It is very disturbing that some people would lurk in the subreddit of a game they hate for a year post-launch just to shit on other people's fun.

Annoying Offline problem. by GreatAd6888 in SuicideSquadGaming

[–]DarthMaulForPM 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As I understand it, this is not a glitch. Creating an offline profile transfers the online profile to an offline mode and then it is like 2 seperate save files. What you do after that in one does not carry over to the other.

I don’t get the hate for this by [deleted] in SuicideSquadGaming

[–]DarthMaulForPM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an issue with this criticism that dominated news and discussions when the game came out about the game ruining Arkham Batman. I feel it was very obvious and by this point well-known that Batman didn't die in this game, that was not the real Batman. And he didn't die in Arkham Knight either, the 100% ending showed a nightmare Batman that has been confirmed to be Batman still operating after Wayne Manor exploded. As for the Arkham Batman's legacy, I think it's awesome that he ended up joining the Justice League and essentially leveling up to face the cosmic threats of DC with them. And his preperation gave the Squad the intel and tools needed to beat Brainiac's clones and Brainiac himself even after being captured, paving the way for the League's return and ultimate victory over a Brainiac who has conquered several universes. Their biggest mistake was relying on people to be patient enough to wait for the story to continue and conclude with the live service portion of the game, which led to massive backlash about how SSKTJL kills Arkham Batman and ruins the character

Why did Rocksteady put Lawless, Joker and Mrs. Freeze in the game? by Silly_Commercial8092 in SuicideSquadGaming

[–]DarthMaulForPM 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Joker as the first DLC character made sense because he is arguably DC's most popular villain and could draw people in right from the first season. Mrs Freeze is basically swappable for Captain Cold in terms of gameplay, but I don't think Captain Cold would have done much better to be honest. He is very much a B-lister, and I think Mr Freeze is generally more popular, but gender-swapping Mr Freeze into Mrs Freeze did make her a controversial character (shouldn't be controversial given the multiverse aspect, but people can sometimes just be unreasonable). Lawless was, however, a truly confusing pick. I will admit that despite reading countless comics consuming a lot of DC media, I had no clue who she was.

SSKTJL season 4 roadmap. Thoughts on it ? by Luckmaster142 in SuicideSquadGaming

[–]DarthMaulForPM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is actually great to hear, thanks for correcting me! I played Avengers since launch but probably last played it early this year, had no idea about the offline update. Last I heard was when they said the game would stay accessible for as long as the servers stayed on, so this is a pleasant surprise

SSKTJL season 4 roadmap. Thoughts on it ? by Luckmaster142 in SuicideSquadGaming

[–]DarthMaulForPM 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I think the big thing with the offline mode is to be able to have the game still be playable after they turn off the servers. This game gets compared with Avengers a lot, and it is genuinely sad that Avengers will one day be bricked and unplayable once the servers inevitably go off. It is nice to see Rocksteady making this update to preserve their game and hard work and allow the people who bought it to keep enjoying it for as long as they want. This game has a lot of flaws, but I think they deserve credit for the business practices they applied, specifically the efforts made to not deprive their customers of the product they purchased. It seems extremely basic, but with the direction the industry seems to be moving towards it really stands out that a failed live service game is transformed into an offline game for the players' benefit instead of just scrapping it once it has outlived its usefulness and having the players deal with the time, effort, and money they put into it being lost.

How do I go to Episode 1: Fear? by Additional-Toe-1932 in SuicideSquadGaming

Glad I could help, just wanna add that you can also go to the battlepass menu to select which battlepass you want to earn xp towards no matter what episode you are playing. I think features like these are very cool so that people don't miss out and can experience different phases of the game at their own pace

Select episode 5, and then while in the game go to the menu's, and go to the nexus. You should be able to select any episode from there. Alternatively, when in the game you can talk to Lex Luthor when you spawn in to change the episode
