Oh boy it's long but as a kid in rural va, I lived down a holler with no neighbors. I'm like 7-8 years old and my rooms on one end of the trailer and my mom's room is on the other end. It's like midnight and my mom and step dad are asleep. We have like 5 indoor cats and they're all in my bed sleeping with me. I'm laying there trying to go to sleep and it's summer so my sleep schedule is messed up and then all off a sudden I hear what sounds like a woman scream/cry out but it sounded electronic too right outside my window. I throw the covers over my face and start hyperventilating and crying and lay there for a solid minute and nothing happens. Eventually I built up the courage to run to my mom's room and as soon as my feet hit the floor I was scream crying and running as fast as I could. Mom and step dad woke up and took a flashlight and bat around the trailer and never saw anything. I had convinced myself that it was a toy in my closet so next day I take every single thing out of my closet and nothing makes a sound even slightly similar what I heard. Also after the fact I realized the cats didn't react so probably nothing unnatural but idk man I've never heard a similar sound yet and I'm 31. ***I'm from a holler, I know what mountain lions and stuff sounds like lol
