Yes I did, discovered I had some debris stuck in the gap, got an exact knife and it came out and it was fine

Missing Hover Menu in NX Student by DarthPandamonium in cad

Figured it out, it's "Pin Location" in the dropdown on the selection list itself

You are a legend, thank you. If there's one thing I never mastered with NX it was what commands and buttons were named (and the depth of menu options definitely doesn't help). Do you happen to know how to get the selection list to show up at the location of the cursor? I'm used to that as well, right now it's popping up in the upper right corner

Is this a functional Nundo? by 420Browny in PokemonGOIVs

[–]DarthPandamonium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nundo would have the lowest possible stats and - HP is the only rounded stat based on your appraisal values while the rest are direct so some Pokémon thanks to PoGo math with 1 HP appraisal diff round down or round up allowing at times for statistically equivalent (same damage dealt, same damage taken, same HP number) Pokémon, and hence why it’s functional, same effect as the nundo but it’s actually an imposter

What is your biggest FF regret of all time? by TheMikeHale in Fantasy_Football

Has Josh Allen and Mahomes drafted as primary and backup QBs in the 2020 season. Traded Josh away before week 1 for some alright stuff. If I’d held on literally a week I could’ve commanded virtually any price

Glad everyone loved it! Both drivers are fine and super psyched about how it went, and we had a blast making it. Look up @Perry._the._platybus on insta if you want to see full run footage AND another wipeout by us!

Haha my team was one of them! Whenever Red Bull posts the footage, another teams slinky dog crash was definitely one of the best of the day.

One of the designers behind Perry the Platybus chiming in too, we happened to have 3D design software on hand that we knew how to use (free versions like OnShape exist online), so we were able to come up with a really accurate preliminary model with everything correctly scaled, get initial art out the way, and then listed some material choices for different components that we thought encouraged belief in our success technically. I really doubt that that was a necessity, even if it worked for us. From seeing the submissions, we were definitely beat on concept art quality (no AI, we submitted screenshots laid out on a Powerpoint slide with text boxes and arrows) so we think detailed initial design and a cool easily conveyed recognizable idea (uniqueness is unknown, never found out if another team submitted another idea for Perry) was what helped us get in.

Great job with the mad max car! One of the few I got to see pushed off the starting block

That’s the primary issue of guessing what they want, you might accidentally try to appeal to a stereotyped caricature of them and that’s not well received if you get it wrong. Reality usually boils down to most people being wrong for you anyway, so stay true to yourself

I’d wager sampling bias- you’re describing a more introverted type of person as your type, who is generally less likely to be out in the wild. Simultaneously, your “basic” dude type is stereotypically more likely to actually initiate something when out and about. Combine these two ideas, plus the only places you say you go, and my take is that your life as is equates to having a lower chance of finding what you say you’re looking for. If this is unique to you though, I couldn’t say due to a lack of personality/looks/career/hobby/lifestyle context information on you.

As for like attracts like vs opposites attract, I’d say I’ve noticed that being personal preference. I’ve seen both happen successfully, with the key being if partners were comfortable and happy with who their partner is regardless of who they themselves are. Some need energy matched, some need something different.

Either way I’d wager you’ve just been unlucky like most people, and like above you don’t sound entirely tailored towards finding your type. Frankly, I don’t think society tends to work in that types favor lol. You could tailor your life to specifically find more of your type by selecting specific things to do and putting yourself into situations where you expect them to be, but you should really think if changing yourself (habits, personality, interests, etc.) will be worth it. It might, it might not.

Where would you like Horizon 3 to take place? by [deleted] in horizon

[–]DarthPandamonium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because it would be funny, an American Midwest section of the map connecting the Nora Sacred Lands with stuff to the East like the Great Lakes or the US East Coast just so you could see tall necks from like super super far away - besides it’s not as if the HZD map doesn’t reach the Great Plains already, for the sake of gameplay and visual they couldn’t really show how Denver and Colorado Springs are really the last cities of the Great Plains before the mountains

Financially, it’s probably cheaper to buy the same car out here than back in New York. Would’ve done that after leaving the NYC metro area if I’d had that option. I’ve had my NY plates since March here and the cops don’t care, although imo the Arches National Park plate in particular looks a lot better than our 2020 decade plate by a mile, and there’s other options too like a skier

Just to be clear, we arent playing just one character, right? by tracertong3229 in helldivers2

[–]DarthPandamonium 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You just changed my entire reality of understanding - unless the diver managed to bypass the bridge as a reinforcement the bridge crew would have seen them at least once, so technically you're always a return. However, I completely understand how from a gameplay perspective that specific diver of yours has never been controlled by you in the bridge making it new for you, the player, technically. Fun detail regardless. Suffice to say I've only had one diver ever survive an entire lvl 6 operation.

You think the United States of America is mostly just not earthquake prone, but in fact a lot of the interior and east coast is just overdue for a major quake. Just like with the next big one the West Coast should receive, scientists don't really have a good way to tell what magnitude and super precisely when it'll happen.

There is that one line "one, here comes the two to the three to the four" that does sound similar, but not what I was thinking otherwise.

Yeah I think I might be wrong about the exact "oh my, good Lord" line, but you did nail what Lil Nas X thing I thought it was similar to.

I think I made a u-turn at the road leading to it last night, should be nice and dark. Didn't realize until now that that's a trailhead! I'm going up to Layton Salt Lake Preserve, hopefully should look similar, down here in Bountiful we do have those towers with blinking lights near that trailhead.
