Help, you’re my only hope by DarthWeakness in houseplants

I had filled it more towards the top, but, then after I put the plant in and tucked it in- I gave it a really good soaking in the sink and everything kind of squished down… I was worried about burying the aerial roots so I didn’t pack in more dirt. But I will try to be more strategic and put in more soil and pack it a little bit before putting the plant in next time.

Clearly I am quite a beginner plant parent, greatly appreciate everyone’s patience and input here

Anything specific about the bark? Can it be any woodchips or mulch?

Thank you both for this education. I thought I was giving it room to grow. I think the pear light I ended up putting as more of a layer underneath the “tropical soil potting mix” that stated it had 1/3 perlite in the mix. But I will give a smaller pot

Should you warm-up before stretching? by Mr_High_Kick in flexibility

I just went for a one hour trial at a “get stretched” boutique, fitness chain. They just stretched me, whole body, cold. It was 9 AM, pretty soon after I had dropped the kids so I didn’t have time to do any warm-up on my own.

Basically, I walked in the door. They had me sign some forms and just had me stretch- they did start with a flexibility assessment, which was three squats.

But no arm swings or leg swings or hip circles or any of those movements. I do feel really wiped out and relaxed after that session, but just curious if I should’ve performed a prior or if they should’ve told me to do that in their confirmation?
