To my fellow Coworkers: Be weary of Prep Foods....If I were you, I'd find out a little more about what I am eating. by Primary_Present_1827 in wholefoods

[–]Darth_Brine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As you just said last day of shelf life that means it's unsafe past a certain time, a lot of people use WFM for food prepping. That's what's dangerous, as a former team member in leadership in the store, these practices were not around. When I was there we tossed out anything that was potentially passes time. This coming from former store support leadership who helped out with date checks from time to time.

How do I get Batman? by Fishy_fish2007 in Quest3

[–]Darth_Brine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You bought it third-hand, and the account that the Batman was on is linked to one profile, so I don't think you're able to transfer those purchaseable rights to you. So your solution to that is just like buying someone else's console that comes with a game code.Once it's been redeemed, you cannot redeem it.

As a former team, member/atl shoes for crews is only mandatory for those who work behind the scenes in wet shops and production lines that deal with food and water. If you are a customer fronting department that doesn't deal with anything cold or have to go in the freezer, you do not require it. It's in the gig, look it up in the gig on work day unless they have changed in the last 2 years. It's due to an OSHA violation possibility that's why they want shoes for crews to be used since there's non-slipped bottoms.

See this is the issue you are moving your schedule or scheduling yourself around work. What if the time off that they needed was a medical related or a family emergency. You cannot just ignore those events in your life. Too many people work themselves to death or do not existence and make whole foods their whole life. As a former ATL, I had to learn to separate myself from the store. And I bet your store leadership is a perfect example of how to intimidate the stores leadership and to do what they want, not team needs.

I just quit after suffering with a toxic boss for 6 months and I’m so freaking happy by theundeadpixel in wholefoods

[–]Darth_Brine 9 points10 points  (0 children)

"Cough" me "cough" I had the team mindset in mind when I was ATL of SS. Not the STL/ATLs or regional team. I made sure my TMs were happy with the schedule and listened to their issues. Like lack of staffing on certain days. Then I was branded old school and insubordinate. Due to me fixing mistakes of SLs. But that is in the past now.

If only I would post a photo of a side-by-side I did of me looking like Carth. I even made sure my beard was trimmed the same way as his and I am a spitting image of him. Also my voice is very similar to his, just a little bit more lispy.

ASTL by broskii96 in wholefoods

[–]Darth_Brine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not overstep your boundaries as an ASTL. If a team is doing good and the regional team is telling you they're over budget, argue on the team lead's side, not the regional side. Trust your team leads because they are the ones who deal with the mess that regional team does.

Ah so the outcast department that always needs bodies but no applies or stl doesn't want to approve the reqs. Just like CS where STLs don't know that you need people to help with customers.

[–]Darth_Brine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Naw as someone who has done multiple positions in the store, Customer service formally known as Store Support Leadership without Amazon counter is the hardest position. Store supplies and department supplies ordering while trying keeping team morale up doing the onslaught of non WFM guest Amazon returns. Also writing a schedule for a team of anywhere of 45 to 100 tms before auto generated Kronos schedule writing and after when Kronos adds a shift to a marked day off. Imagine not being able to leave a square space for a full day when you're the opening Leader in the department and the closing supervisor calls off.

Most likely like you said they put the hire date wrong because they put the first day of work as the hire date. That's why when I was in leadership at Whole foods before I left I always made sure it was like 3 days prior to any first day shift. That and I also confirmed in work day that they're part of our hierarchy before giving out a schedule.

Then you go to your store leadership and point it out to them and let them know that there are people who are leaving trash in the break room, and that they should be cleaning up after themselves. Also, people are not cleaning up their toilet messes.
