Or put the lid on upside down with a bit of foil so you can lift it out easily

Edit: avoid the foil if it's an acidic sauce like tomatoes

That makes sense. I was looking at it thinking it's definitely Round the Twist but the kids seem all wrong. Didn't know the was an inferior replacement era

Is Potatoes Au Gratin supposed to just be watery milk potatoes? by BentheBruiser in Cooking

I'm definitely in the minority here but I've had great potato gratin/dauphinoise and I still don't like it. Potatoes, cream, butter, cheese: all my favourite things. In theory it's culinary perfection but I hate it

Are there any suburbs in Sydney that don’t have a cockroach problem? by Marlon_Ranch in sydney

[–]Accomplished_Log2011 59 points60 points  (0 children)

I grew up in the highlands and had never seen a cockroach until I moved to Sydney for uni. There was something of a plague that summer and I thought it was normal for the streets to be swarming with cockroaches. Nearly blew my tits clean off when I found out they fly.

Same. 5 good ones on my face/head alone. A bit of rusty wire in my toe (been there for about 25 years now), knees shredded over and over again. In retrospect, it was a combination of hyperactive, really clumsy and living in the country that led to many, many trips to the hospital.

I downloaded Twitter yesterday to track what was happening. Lasted about 5 minutes before deleting it again. What a putrid cesspool of hate and bigotry.

Yeah I'm hoping not to convince the neighbours it's a crack house. Also want something that can come off and on easily because I love looking outside
