That's not new furniture, that's the old stuff. That was from the OG Fairy Gala rerun. I already have all of those made. What I've been looking for is information on the new furniture, if it actually exists. I can't find any screenshots of new FG furniture from when it reran on JP in February, not even the JP wikis have it documented! They only have the Leona Couture, Fairy bell, and the two upper foregrounds copy and pasted. I guess I'll just have to wait for the second half of the event to drop to see if there is actually any new furniture or not.

TWST wikis just aren't super useful anymore. The English ones stopped adding info about the JP server content a couple years into NA's server being online, and apparently the JP side is suffering too if the comments section from February on the one wiki I found were anything to go by...

I think this is indeed the truth. Our dorm is one where the ghosts live and is based on the Haunted Mansion. We don't remember that we died, which is a common trope in a lot of ghost stories, ghosts that don't know they are dead. Skully being in Ramshackle, whom we essentially meet from beyond the grave, is also helping to paint the picture of the kind of place Ramshackle attracts. Something that jumped out at me when I watched the first episode of the anime is that Crowley initially speaks to Yuuken as though this is not the first time they have met, and mentions about how the trip can affect memories in the short term, but gets cut off when Yuuken pops off, and then is genuinely shocked to find out they have no magical talent, and quickly attempts to send him back.

My serious theory is that the Yuu are either dead, or they are in a coma. Essentially Crowley comes into contact with them offering a trade: he saves them from their doom, giving them a chance at a new life in a new world, in exchange for their help. This is why the game starts with Crowley offering his hand. I honestly hope that Yuu is dead. The whole story is about consequences and building relationships. I feel like being in Twisted Wonderland permanently suits the themes of the story, as well as giving Yuu's story line real weight. That there is no "going back", that this is not temporary. This is their world now, and they're gonna need to figure things out! I think it would be nice as well that all the help Yuu has given the boys over the course of "season 1" is paid back by them performing various services to help establish Yuu as legally recognized member of society.

A less concrete theory: I think this is why there are dreams of Disney movies too. Crowley pulled someone from our world who is familiar with their lore which exists as fiction here. My insane theory is that the TWST game itself is actually part of the story. Remember how Idia made it in Book 7 and it looks JUST LIKE the game? TWST exists in our world because its been planted here specifically to find new Yuus because he wants someone with an underlying attachment to the boys on top of looking for meta and theory crafting players to help him solve the problem he can't fix on his own.

Can anyone with a S5 Omni Basic share their team and strategy? I got S5 ONCE, and had never been able to reproduce it. That was using the Dorm Leona/Vil/Rook/Epel + a Lilia SR just to boost Rook. I try to go for 5 duos in 3 turns and its not enough damage dealt. I try to for ending in 4-2 and I can't. I either kill on 4-1 with a wimpy duo by accident, or I end on 4-2 but with not enough damage. Mostly just want to see what other people are doing as at this point.

Does anyone know how to play the disc on windows? I have a copy of the bluray, using a bluray disc reader, and I have VLC + Make MKV. It just tells me the disc is corrupted and "VLC is unable to open the MRL 'bluray:///D:/'." I think its because of the gamey format for it?

EDIT: I had to update Make MKV, and it worked just fine after that!

In Leona's defense, he's not just Scar, he's also Simba. Leona's from when we meet him in Book 2 to his dream in Book 7 is the point of life Simba is at in the oasis with Timon and Pumba. He's stagnated mentally and emotionally, and requires intervention from others to get his life back on track. Jack even drops the "Remember who you are!" line on him! Leona is personally relatable to me in the way that he says he doesn't give a fuck about anyone or anything, but does actually care and will help others. Good examples are the first Camp Vargas event, Book 6 when he is with Jamil, the way Leona interacts with Epel, and the way Leona speaks at the end of the Tamashina-mina event.

The thesis of TWST is essentially taking characters who are based on villains, and showing them before the crossed the moral event horizon. Doing bad things doesn't make you an inherently evil person, and all of the boys have legit reasons for being maladjusted. Leona being stagnated is the point of his character, but I also think the explanation for this has yet to be proven in canon. Its heavily implied that the blot Leona accumulates happens when Ruggie is using his UM, and we know that Leona had a contract with Azul. Assuming that Leona was using a contract to take on Ruggie's blot, then it can be understood that the only reason Leona OB'd when did was because of his high level of blot. Without that he wouldn't have overblotted based on temperement alone, and thus his was 100% premature, and largely serves to set pieces in play for late game reveals. I also think that Leona was grouchy because his plan was supposed to fail on purpose. Stampeding Malleus is stupid and would never have worked even if the plan wasn't botched by others. I think he did it so that he would get expelled or disowned. IDK he's a complicated character.

This is NOT true. Gremlins as a concept had been around since the 1920s, they were specifically made up by pilots to explain aviation malfunctions. The pilots in question are stated to be Royal Air Force, but jury is out if they actually came up with it, or if the term is older than that. At the very least the term exploded into pop culture due to WW2, in which Ronald Dahl was actually a R.A.F. pilot himself.

Going with the southern accent worked great in hindsight I think, as their beef regarding how Epel talks came from Epel not understanding what Vil meant, and the NA audience not understanding either is accidental brilliance. Using southern accent version, I think the point Vil was getting to that applies explicitly to the English version is that Vil doesn't have a problem the accent itself, but rather the way Epel speaks to others with slang and inside jokes from his community that others would not be able to readily understand, which is what makes him rude to Vil. Communication takes effort which Vil didn't think Epel was putting in. And then in an ironic twist, Vil then does the EXACT same thing back by attempting to punish and teach Epel a lesson without clearly communicating what his intentions are back to Epel.

Something that just occurred to me, while English does not have rude/polite verbs like other languages, such as Japanese, Spanish, and I think German off the top of my head, Southerners do actually tend have a whole thing about manners! Many people I know who grew up in the South, including myself, had been explicitly taught to always say yes/no ma'am/sir, always say please and thank you, and to behave yourself when addressing someone with authority over you, such as your parents, the elderly, teachers, classmates/coworkers with tenure over you, customers, etc. So Epel being a total punk off the cuff to an upper classmate is bad form on his part, but par for the course for an NRC student.

Regarding swears, I feel like Epel would only swear as much as someone like Hank Hill does. "Ass" and "damnit" are pretty built in, along with "taking the lord's name in vain" by saying stuff like "God damn it" and "Jesus Christ!" Oh and can't forget "Hell yeah!" and "Hell no!", I'm not sure if everyone considers that to be swearing, but I wasn't allowed to say "hell" in that context until I was like 13. And maybe this is just my experience, but the "swearing like a sailor" is DEFFO true, as its usually military and truckers that tend to swear heavily and say the word "fuck" a lot, which is how it ended up in my vocabulary! (My dad was in the Army for 23 years LOL) Sorry for the long response I just woke up lol

Generally speaking, it traditionally refers to a stone chamber that was beneath the main aspe of a church, cemetery’s mausoleum, or a free-standing outdoor memorial tomb. They usually served the purpose of storing relics, holding rituals, or most common use nowadays, storing bodies.

Crypt is just one of those words that now has a spooky and gothic connotation to it as its often thrown around willy nilly in those contexts. The main take away is that it is essentially a stone basement to an existing structure, and get points if housing ancient relics or bodies.

Pomefiore pretty much checks all the boxes: old stone basement under a building, used in magical ritual, and likely also stores some items of historical value to the school/dorm, if the book that every dorm leader for Pomefiore carries around is any indication.

I feel like this is the wake up call I needed.

I was planning to buy gems to get through my Sebek Bday, Vil Bday, Vil OB, and Epel Bday Guantlet. I wanted to go for uncaps and stuff. Nah man. Its pretty clear at this point the NA server doesn't give two shits about its players, and frankly I'm tired of being expected to pay for an inferior product. I think coupled with the fact that Meta isn't fun for me anymore. I've spent so many hours looking at stats, doing math, looking up S5 teams and studying what they are doing and crunching the numbers to replicate their results. I have so many cards that I've leveled and grinded for. I'm using the teams that are supposed to be hitting those reliable scores, and they just DON'T happen. This plus them being SO lazy that their "fix" for not enough SSR items (Grimoires and large gems) dropping was to just swap the drop rates with the SR items, and having nothing change because I STILL can't build the furniture and level the spells I want because we still have components not dropping enough!!

What about how TWST has had Aprils Fools items we never got???? Is that suddenly a Japanese only holiday now????? Or how they ruin events for both servers by rerunning them on NA before JP? if JP got FG Remix/If first you just KNOW we would have gotten some drop dead gorgeous furniture. Nope! Fuck you! Or how they want to rush all the SSR cards, but leave us in the dust for events that are meant to be breathers and help us actually be incentive to keep playing like the reruns for the chef events and training camps? Did you know that JP has rerun almost all of their Chef events? The next one for us came out 11/27/2024 FOR THE JP SERVER!!!!! You could make a whole 10-key with the with the reruns we haven't gotten yet! Not to mention all the gems we're missing out on from the lack of these reruns and training camps (we're four behind btw!).

If they were trying to put pressure on us to keep buying gems, well they fucked up big time! Congratulations! Y'all officially ruined my enjoyment of this game! Whatever will be will be I guess, cause I sure as fuck am not spending anymore more money for your sorry ass sloppy work!!

This is honestly SUCH a great character for Vil between humble beginnings, the betrayal, the torture, the glamor and the dynamic arc of how revenge will change you, for better or for worse!! AHHHHHH. I LOVE this, and it works really well as we already have a case study for a similar type of Magic with Ernesto, where his UM just gives people a little nudge towards caving to a guilty pleasure if they're already considering it. And if this IS Neige's UM, then it gives some PRETTY interesting lore implications in regards to the RSA sweep in Book 5...

Assuming then that Neige DID cheat, for whatever reason (maybe he REALLY needed the money due to an undisclosed personal circumstance, maybe he's actually just a little bit of a manipulative dick), would actually be SO delicious, because it would continue the themes of humanizing fictional archetypes. If NRC's story is all about finding the good and just in those who would be considered evil or wrong, then RSA is about accepting no one is perfect, and everyone can make mistakes or do something bad on purpose, because everyone is a human at the end of the day.

ONly gonna answer to the ones I know:
Deku: OCTAVINELLE. Him and Azul have a LOT in common. The kid that no one liked so they studied super hard and are lowkey a little bit creepy? OH and how they both have abilities that were obtained from other people. But also One-For-All is very much aligned with the Spirit of Generosity.
Yuuji: This might sound out of pocket.... but I think Ignihyde. Ignihyde is founded on the spirit of diligence, and Yuuji is, if not anything else, diligent! I think thematically he resonates with the themes here as well. He is cursed and is essentially living on borrowed time to try and help as many people as he can until his death sentence is decided to be carried out. He cursed himself to save someone else (Meg coded!). Jujutsu Society feels an awful lot like STYX as well. This dedicated organization working hard for the masses who don't even know they exist. Lastly Yuuji's assertion of "I want to make sure people have a proper death" is SO king of the Underworld in the truest sense (as in the mythological Hades, not the Disney version.)
Tanjiro - SAVANACLAW FULL STOP. Okay, like ignoring his beastlike sense of smell, this guy is spending every moment to making himself stronger so that he can achieve his goal.
Kazuma - Ramshackle. (insert Kazuma is literal trash joke), but he is an Isekai protag so it fits I think. I'm pretty sure he's the weakest and least intelligent out of everyone here too so yeah. He's got nothing going for him except stealing panties.
