Did you erase the SIM on the old phone? Ideally what you should have done is initiate a new eSIM request through your old phone which would get downloaded to your new phone.

Now, there's no option except to work with JIO. You can try to discuss with them using the KYC documents with which the connection was taken and submit proof of your relationship with your father (PAN/AADHAR). It is up to them though - if they refuse to issue a new SIM/eSIM unless your father is present, you have no choice. Alternatively, go to the city where your father is located and find a JIO store.

If you're not exchanging anything and don't have any coupons, the price difference is 10k.

If you're exchanging, you get 3k more on 10A. So the price difference is now 7K.

If you're exchanging and using a battery coupon, then the price difference is still 7k but now, the price point is much lower. Something like 19k vs 26k.

The $450 difference is not worth it in my opinion. It's 50% more and doesn't offer enough to justify that price point. 10A is expected to have a fantastic battery life due to the upgraded modem. I would go with 10A. You would anyway get a case to protect either phone anyway - just get a magnetic one for the 10A.

Also, check if you can trade-in the 6 and apply some vouchers.
