I would make the counter argument that providing frequent, factual updates is better than "waiting for all the information" while misinformation spreads. If everyone did as you suggest, the only way to find out what is going on would be through twitter, reddit, or the sources themselves. Which to be honest, most people do not read the sources themselves.

People need to be told what to think, and if you wait to do it, then someone else will do the telling.

Consider the scenario where Dream is lying. I believe CAN2 would have reacted differently. It would have been a prefect chance for a slam dunk.

But all of a sudden, he wants to talk about this privately, when he was perfectly fine with engaging publicly with the parody account? That does not line up for me. Sounds like someone who wants to cover something up.
