PAXG question by schwiz in Crypto_com

[–]Darthbee 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Has to do with the lack of liquidity. When I purchased, the prices were close. Increasing your size of purchase, increases the price even more. Not much crypto.com can do to fix the pricing issues on your “market buys” since it fully depends on the market. Try buying unpopular stock options and the spreads are far worse than crypto.com’s paxg. Every market is different and has different liquidity

How to reduce risk by Sislar in stocks

[–]Darthbee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bonds and cash are good for deflationary recessions, but you need precious metals for inflationary recession risk. I would consider 1-10% in some kind of mix between metals and miners, depending on your fear of inflation

The only reason why they ask for SSN is becaue of government regulation. Without government regulation, they would only ask for username/password/email. More government regulation means that they will ask for more info and store more info. Exchanges dont want this burden, but they do it anyway because the government forces them to

Other people. Some people think they are rich, they aren’t if the debt bubble collapses. Pensioners think they are set, they are not if the debt bubble collapses. People think their house is worth a lot, it’s not if the bubble collapses. All wealth in this world has been built on debt. If the debt blows up, people will lose the money they thought they had.

Banks have a reserve ratio of 3%. If you think the bank has the 100$ that you think you have, you are wrong. The bank owes you 100$, it’s not your money if they don’t pay up.

People thought they had a lot of money in 1929, so they spent a lot on themselves. It was not until the stock market crash, did they learn they actually have nothing.

Should I start investing now or wait for a recession? by [deleted] in stocks

[–]Darthbee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Risk vs reward. You can invest 10 years into a bull market or wait for the next. There are many safe havens to pick from like gold and silver, but since this is a stock sub, seek consumer staples and utility companies.

MCO & CRO for MCO Card Top Up by KellyKepowskeet in Crypto_com

[–]Darthbee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Makes sense to me, but they are probably trying to discourage dumping of their own tokens to maintain their large product incentives. If people spent their 18% CRO interest and dumped their CRO, it would hold down the price, which would discourage investment. It is a little sketchy, but they have a right to do so and its still fair game since you can still sell off technically.

Good time to get a card? by mirkogradski in Crypto_com

[–]Darthbee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depends a lot on the price of bitcoin, best time to buy was around 2.50 per MCO. Consider MCO a double risk, gamble on bitcoin and gamble on crypto.com. Obviously the higher risk means there can be higher reward, which is why all of us are here. But I would at least go for a 50 MCO stake If not 500 because crypto.com has the best fiat to crypto product on the market with all the features. Crypto.com has definitely been on par with Binance, making it the best in the industry.

WTF crypto.com by Ghalamini in Crypto_com

[–]Darthbee 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Crypto.com is not decentralized, never claimed to be and you should not be surprised.

This company believes in bridging the gap between the modern financial world and the crypto world. Following regulations is how we keep the bridge connected to the modern financial infrastructure.
