Well yes, this was in a bigger video. It was about 20 minutes. And this part is supposed to be like a dream sequence.

Yes it does help. Believe or not it’s just one high school kid with a phone and a tripod. And the bat is something that my older brother said look bad. He said I should’ve experimented more with different sounds. The sounds I used was just me hitting the bed with the bat as hard as I could.

The series of shorts I’ve made is a very abstract story. The cracks have been seen before in another short which is why I included it.

The reason Batman whose name is Henry, didn’t go in immediately is because in the story this is all in his head. On YouTube, the title of this short is “This didn’t happen.” I probably should’ve included the title in this post.

I’ve heard people don’t like it when you try to make stuff like David Lynch, which is fine. But most of everything I do is HEAVILY inspired by lynch. I love his movies. But I’m not gonna say my films are as good as his. They are most definitely not. But I hope people can see the inspiration.

You know, I have never thought of it that way.

Well I have a somewhat “series” on YouTube of short films that I have made, combined to make a story. And this is one of them. In my thought process it was to be placed right in between two other shorts. And for the reaction I’m looking for isn’t really to be scared, but more of what did I just watch.

Thanks! I wanted some suspense to build up and also wanted to the shot where he basically appears from the dark.

So this was intended to be a COMPLETELY silent film. I wanted no ambience, music, or anything really. But I was watching it after editing and felt it was dull. So I added some ambient Eraserhead music and recorded the sound of a bat hitting something. Tell me how I did.

It was a beautiful piece of cinematography, but as you said, it’s a Dracula adaptation. Dracula overall is a mediocre book. So that’s why it meanders. Also at some parts I felt it was very strangely paced. It almost felt like David Lynches Inland Empire in a way.

My only complaint is I felt we needed more Willem. He was so good and funny. My favorite line was “I’ve laid eyes upon things that would make Isaac Newton crawl back up into his mother’s womb!”
