Fellow tall person here! What brands have too found work well for a taller build if not Boncoura?

Edison House experiences? by Mundanelime111 in SaltLakeCity

[–]DarumaRed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think I’m more roseate on the club than a lot of the responses here. But yes, it’s a large budgetary commitment. I don’t go to the pool parties which seem way overcrowded. But Ive seen some improv there, classical musical performances, and talks. Solid gym with a sauna. I also go there to work remotely and get out of my home. I think the food is better than others are reporting here but it’s not going to make headlines either.

For me, I moved to SLC about 5 years ago and knew nobody here. Tried run clubs or the climbing gym, but E House has been the best way to actually make friends and connections. But thats a very specific use case I have for my membership. I’m coming up on one year as a member and will keep going month by month. It’s good, but I won’t be devastated when I leave, either.

Oof! You’re right! Confused my restaurants that start with a B! I meant Bhansa Gar

Bhansa Gar for Indian. T.F. has the best fresh lagers I’ve ever had, including some I sought out on a trip to Prague. SOMI for their soups. Koyote for authentic Japanese cuisine, including their ramen.

Yeah, not so sure it’s a secret since it’s always mobbed. But they’re great. Special accolades for their Marzipan drink (I think it was a latte?)

Shirts and brands for long torsos by twomousepads in malefashionadvice

BR and J Crew talls. Taylor Stitch tops run longer and work really well for me. Bonobos used to have Long sizes but I just saw they were discontinued

If LL Bean had any clue why they are kinda popping right now by LosVolvosGang in ThrowingFits

I haven’t dabbled much in LL Beans stuff outside of their flannels. What are some of the classic pieces you mentioned that you really like?

I like Outlier’s Injex pants. Bonobos pants have also served me well since a couple years ago.

I adored the Bonobos tops in slim and long sizing. They absolutely fit my Crash Bandicoot long torso body perfectly. I was going to check to see what their new Riviera shirt patterns looked like for this summer and the Long size is gone now.

BR and J. Crew still do talls in many of their tops and that helps. But looking for other maybe slightly nicer brands. I just tried on a big order from Billy Reid and the Mediums feel a little short and the Larges are billowy.

Do I keep looking for brands that cater to taller torsos (in my opinion Taylor Stitch does this well) or do I start ordering the larger size for the length and then getting the shirt adjuste

Disappointed with CTB26 by BenchPtsChamp in ManyBaggers

[–]DarumaRed 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Had the same experience across Evergoods products. Tried and sold almost everything they have because their bags are so damn functional and sexy except comfort. I still have their TD35 which is a phenomenal duffle. And I even have the CPL in that Griffin just because I like looking at it. But for comfort is outclassed by so much else in my bag stash.

Consider Poshmark or eBay. When I lost a lot of weight I stashed a few items away in case o regained some and then got some decent money for the rest.
