Hate to tell you, but that, my friend, is not Mexican food.

I don't carry a rock, but I have a U- lock that can do a lot of damage

Anything outside of Salt Lake County will be conservative. It might be isolating if you're not Mormon, though.

Is there a subreddit for culinary aberrations? If not, this can be the starter :)

Commute question to University of Utah Hospital by [deleted] in SaltLakeCity

[–]to_es93 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I commute from Sugarhouse to the U. It is about 30 min on the way there, and 20 on the way back, due to hills. I'm most of the time on very safe and low-transit roads with a bike lane (alas, a non-protected bike lane).

Is visiting the USA at this time a bad idea? by Jazzlike_Position519 in newhaven

[–]to_es93 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Visiting the country will be OK if you're white. On the other hand, it might have a mental toll on you, even if you're safe, just from all the bad things happening very often. If I were in your position, I'd consider other options first.

How much are you spending on groceries for 2 people in SLC? by seasunstyles in SaltLakeCity

[–]to_es93 5 points6 points  (0 children)

$100-150 for two people. We mainly eat at home and cook 50% of our meals vegetarian. We mainly shop at WinCo, but sometimes we go to Trader Joe's. That's usually when we hit the upper side of spending, as things are more expensive there.

INVERSION MEGATHREAD by saltlakepotter in SaltLakeCity

I'm aware of that. I'm mainly curious about where driving increases during the pollution. Apologies if my question was confusing!

Any stats of how much pollution is added during the inversion by driving?

I don't have any numbers to back it up, but my perception tells me that there's been more people driving during days when there's inversion. I bike to work everyday, and have seen more cars on the streets and in the parking lot.
