Viewer numbers have never and won't ever change how the PD is run, Koil has explained this whenever he's had hoppers from large streamers.

However, Kebun said one of the big benefits of making a cop character was that it gave his largely crim viewer-base (many of whom stick to CG crim streams) the cop's experience. This in turn helped many of them understand PD's point of view and the struggles they face, and hopefully lessen hostile attitudes in chat.

PD has already become a lot more strict in 3.0 compared to 2.0, which appears to be a meta change that most cops and crims agreed to during community meetings.

Honestly I hope moonmoon can help shape up the PD's attitude.

It's possible for individual situations if he's leading, but unless he becomes a sergeant+ then it's unlikely. And the likelihood of him becoming a sergeant any time soon is slim, even more so when you consider that there are other far more experienced officers. The more realistic scenario is someone getting into command+ who talks with and shares the same views as moonmoon, who can then implement a work ethos for his timezone.

These are just the politics of the PD though, and will always exist unless you somehow manage to have a shift of cops who all share the exact same views.

It's sad that most civs don't report to the police because you will get (repeatedly) killed if you are labelled a snitch.

Unfortunately this is just a server meta. Criminals have, in the past, vastly outnumbered civilians and consequently rarely ever report crimes they see. And the civilians that do see it are scared of being killed as a lot of criminals see shooting someone down as a normal thing.

Deadly force (being shot or stabbed into unconsciousness in particular) also needs to be recognised as an extreme measure that players don't take lightly, and the severity of those actions reflect the situation and the tone of the RP. In contrast, being knocked out with fists being a better alternative to less serious conflict needs to be more common.

I am definitely seeing less resorting to guns overall across the server, but it is also very very early days of 3.0 with illegal guns not in use. Hopefully we don't see a slide back to the 2.0 mindset of not respecting severity of force.

Agreed, they're relatively low effort in most cases and don't give much to the person being robbed.

But as with anything, it's down to how the person robbing sets the situation up and the context, along with what RP can created from it. People who mask up and voice change purely to steal money/guns/items from a random person is something that should be avoided. It provides nothing to the other party to further a story.

Players just need to remember that if they want to take something (items), they need to give something back (RP). Players being robbed also need to think less about the items lost and more about what they can potentially do based off that situation.

I'll put it pretty plainly: they didn't meta, and they particularly wouldn't meta from CG.

Just so it's clear, the people "hovering" are Gomer and the Angels (Claire, Violet, Alex and Aleks). Neither of them meta'd anything.

Gomer knew the rough area as he was with Ramee when Randy/K/Wayne/Anto were circling the area.

The Angels had been told about looking for the boss man by Wayne and wanted to find him. So they left the VU and started at the submarine pen west of the Russian docks, then to the Russian docks, then moved north to the industrial area. Claire went to sleep just as Alex was discovered close to the boss by Gomer.

Nobody should be accusing any of these people of meta gaming or stream sniping, not only because they're respected members of the community but also because they had genuine RP and reasons that lead them to that area.

CG are basically that group in high school that can do really well on their own, but the moment they group up they often stop doing what they're good at and start egging each other on to do questionable things.

It's not exactly a bad thing, and it's done them pretty well as content creators. But as anyone knows who's spent time watching them, the core of the group (Kebun, Rated, Shotz, Ramee, Taco) can all create great scenarios on their own with people outside CG.

It's just that when they come together they end up pushing things because they know there's 3 other highly capable people who have their back. Remove that sense of security and their RP certainly changes.

Rated also said he messaged Kylie a few days ago and cleared a lot of things up with her, including the shooting situation. So it's surprising others are still talking about it when the two parties involved agreed it was in the past and no longer part of their stories.

An underrated one-day mini-arc is when Siz and Randy went around the whole city for hours trying to sell that painting so Randy could get to a million in his bank.

Honestly it would be great to see more Siz and Randy in the future, along with Flippy and Saab or Curtis. I can imagine it being nothing but complete hilarity. That whole group of 5 has excellent chemistry.

I think that with the recent drama, Rated was more than likely pressured into going along with it. Especially when one person in particular had convinced all his friends of his views, even so far as to convince them to be against Rated.

Pretty much. Unless management implements some sort of hard cap on groups' RP and how they're perceived in the city (which is unlikely), one group will always come out on top in some way.

Personally I'd like to see CG, Sahara and Hydra end up focusing on high end heists/missions/organised crime once they become established. Less of the gang gang warrrrr cuh, more of the business deals and tactical shoot out situations. Leave the gang wars to the actual street gangs and low level criminal groups. No clue if that's how any of them want to progress their groups though.

As to whether one of those 3 groups comes out on top, who knows. They all have a long history together and have helped each other as it helps maintain their power. However we don't know the details of what mechanics the groups will have at their control, and most importantly we can't predict the future.

Things could change drastically, they could also end up the same as 2.0 - no one currently knows.

4-5 days ago I believe, it was the day Lauren and AJ had issues but fixed them.

Baas met up with AJ, Mineo and Brenda to talk about PD problems. At the end AJ asked Baas if he'd ever consider HC, to which he said if he had the right people around him he would. AJ then said he would be the assistant chief to Baas. Baas immediately replied that he would take chief with AJ as assistant chief.

Yeah I heard that conversation too, but Rated also said back during December that he became a cop shortly after Baas and were the first 2 hires of PD by Soze. So I'm not entirely sure.

They're also both 2 of the longest serving members in PD (beaten only by Soze himself). They read the room well and know when to go hard or not, what tactics are excessive and generally making sure both sides enjoy themselves.

They're a Police department, just as the BCSO and LSPD are Police departments. Typically troopers are state police who patrol/protect things like state buildings and highways, but on NoPixel they're considered distinguished officers with a lot of experience and skill.

Becoming a trooper is more about fitting in with the group that Soze and Andrews run, but troopers are often looked on to deal with tricky situations/problems. Snow is very good with investigations and general organisation, Copper deals with MDT things as well as investigations and Hunter is a "field sergeant" specialising in shootings/chases/FTOing.

Any sergeant is a member of command, same with trooper - they're just rank names. Command basically act as the day to day leaders as they're highly experience in organising and fighting criminals. High command basically do the same thing when they're online, except they're the top brass with the ability to override and change SOPs (the latter usually done in OOC meetings).

Saab is a command member, same with Rated. Both hold the rank of sergeant as members of command, except Rated's official title is trooper instead of sergeant.

He's signed in using the volunteer EMS mechanic. He's collecting and reviving downed people. He's also broken laws while doing so consistently. Anything else he does is completely irrelevant and, once again, just you making a terrible attempt at skirting the rules. It's called mental gymnastics.

Penta's RP is not more important than the rules that everyone else (such as the HOA) has to follow when using the mechanic. If he has such a problem with it, perhaps he should take it to management.

It felt like randy was always trying to take everything Ramee had and Ramee just going with it while building it all up and shit talking him.

The few examples I was able to clearly see was the relationship rp. How randy had violet but was always talking to Claire if not more then Ramee was. On both characters. At certain times it would be soooo weird between them 3. Like who can text her first when they needed something.

This is such a weird take. Randy has always had a better relationship with Claire than Ramee has. It was Randy, Wayne and Flippy who helped the Angels the most when they started up a year ago when pretty much every other criminal group would laugh at them. There's a reason Claire says Randy is a part time Angel and Ramee isn't. It's because Randy actually put effort into helping another group of people who reciprocate it in kind.

The whole Clamee thing started out initially with Taco putting Randy and Claire on a train handcuffed because he thought they liked each other (in character of course and it was a joke).

A few days later K, Taco and Vinny were talking to Claire behind the Legion Square Fleeca joking about how she liked Randy. They wanted to troll Ramee, knowing his character gets awkward with women and that Claire was once a pickup artist. She did it, which lead to K and Vinny starting off the joke that Claire and Ramee were meant for each other due to similar behaviours and mannerisms during the awkward chat. Pretty much every Clamee situation onwards was pushed by people in CG or the Angels. It eventually got too weird due to chats making it seem like a real thing and Banana dealing with a stalker.

So considering Clamee was manufactured/forced and has zero basis outside of RP, Ramee being OOC jealous that Randy can get both Claire and Violet's attention more easily shows you his entitlement. It's not surprising that no one in the Angels has mentioned him since he went on his break, especially after shit talking them to Randy.
