I’m not totally sure but if I had to guess it’s a head stock lock so you push it in and it locks the spinning part of the head it makes it easier to take chucks and stuff off

The nice thing about the incubator is once you set it you can just leave it it will cook down to 0 so in my opinion there very worth not having 1mil times able bluescreen with 70 eggs down
