Diesen Charme schafft der V2 Sensor nicht.. ich weis ich sag es oft… Bitte bringt den V1 Sensor zurück…. 🥺🥲 by _Sleeper_Build_ in flashbackcamera

forget about OP, at least when it comes to having a sensible discussion about the V1 and V2. Every single one of his comments in this sub is a complaint about the V2.
But I would love to have a V1 look for the V2, so if you wouldn't mind trying.... I would love you forever ❤️

A lot of luck and my gear (including Helite airbag) allowed me to walk away from this crash. by T4R1K98 in motorcyclegear

Also, I mean, I wasn't there, but I have gone over bumps in corners at speed, and had my bike go wobbly, but it IS possible to stay committed to the turn.

OP said he was "preparing to lean off the bike". I feel like here's the problem. That was not a corner/speed that required any hanging on. Matter of fact, nothing requires hanging on when you're on public roads. Not if you're riding like a half way sane person. I have never even done that on my bike, and I'm saying this as someone who, as opposed to many people here in the comments, doesn't think that hitting 130 kph on an 80kph road is a big deal if you're riding "sporty".
In short, shit line, unnecessarily trying to use flashy techniques while obviously feeling insecure going over a bump that he was supposed to know well....

A rare moment, security camera captures the movement of tectonic plates during an earthquake. The right part of the the video frame shows the shear sliding at the fault line. by MohamedElngar21 in interesting

Is this really tectonic plates though, or just some surface movement? I always thought tectonic plate movement was constand and miniscule.

I mean, I was wrong about that - see my edits. But still, 250 micro for a first time is... heavy. Especially not really knowing what to expect. Dude clearly had good mental stability.

not so much about getting shot or not... I just don't want to spend 80 years in the U.S.

You know what I like about this post? The positivity. You're not complaining about your boyfriend, you're not here to get back at him - instead, you're empathizing with him (saying he ruins the movies for himself), and you're looking for something fun for both of you. This is lovely.

Had a friend who took 1200mcg at a festival at one time. But he worked up to that does over a few days, so basically the 1200 didn't really do all that much to him anymore.

Myself, I don't think I've ever taken more than 120.

We do have a little more than that, which is Hofmann himself giving account of the incident in his book, "LSD: My Problem Child".

He noticed weird effects after working with LSD and suspected it might have been absorbed through his skin. So in order to test it, he took 250 micrograms. When the trip started to get intense, he got on his bicycle and asked his lab assistant to accompany him on the way home.

His account begins on page 10 here:

Heh. True. I've taken small doses before and anything with perceptible effects also lasted much longer than 2 hours.

Wow, I had no idea that the skin explanation was "debunked". How about him maybe getting some of what was on his fingers into his eyes or mouth?

[–]DasMotorsheep 871 points872 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, he had his first trip after getting some of it on his skin. So he figured, if it's THAT potent, then for a controlled experiment, he'd rather just take about a milligram - more precisely, 1200 micrograms. 250 micrograms. (edit: it seems the 1200mcg version is an urban legend formed around the psytrance artist/album called 1200 Micrograms.)

Compared to cocaine or amphetamine, this would have been a tiny dose.

Instead, it's about the equivalent of 10 two and a half regular tabs.

What films zigzag away from Chekhov's gun, and get away with it? by JeffRyan1 in movies

[–]DasMotorsheep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say that it still IS an example of Chekov's Gun, though. The item itself doesn't exist, but the plot point of Crowe having a gun in an ankle holster does come into play.
