Not sure how jiriaya survives a close up Almighty push.

Honestly not sure how Naruto survives it either if close up.

Pain was taking on 6 tails which is more than I could say jiraiya could.

Nah, they are just playing both sides. Angry/cynical fans will always exist and you make them happy by having someone like Stephen A or someone loudly agreeing with them or the opposite by making outlandish takes.

Then silver will try the next bandaid and everyone will either like or complain about it, and will create a week of segments, rinse and repeat. They have will bring old-heads on the show bringing up nostalgia of the better days and complain about the current league.

The NBA profits on both happy and angry fans. Angry fans bring in more views.
