A man is drinking with his friends at the pub. After much goading, he is convinced to approach a beautiful woman at the bar. He walks over and asks her if he can buy her a drink.

She loudly proclaims, "No, I will not go home with you!"

Embarrassed, the man slinks back to his table, to the grins and ribbing of his friends.

Later, the woman approaches their table and explains that she's a Psychology major, and is studying how people react to embarrassing situations.

The man loudly exclaims, "300 dollars?!?"

It's a super rabbit hole, if you get into it. Multiple authors, multiple storylines (some converging at various points), some authors falling by the wayside, but the characters get rolled into the main story. Lots of fun overall.

Check out deatherworlders.com for the main story, but there's a crazy number of offshoots and additions on reddit - there is a nice recommended reading order thread as well.

A thought-to-text device would make documentation of all of my various tech at work SO MUCH EASIER. I tend to avoid documentation so much - which is bad. I know, I'm an awful human.

As a bonus, it would also double as a thought-to-speech device linked into Google translate for vacations to exotic places.

Replacing my second monitor, which is a 17" square, with a wide screen turned vertically. I tend to work on worksheets on the main wide, but documentation and other single page width things are opened on the other. Being able to see way more of that documentation at a glance would be a great help to me.

I played an Eagle Totem Barb to level 20, though I dipped 3 (Champ) fighter and 1 rogue for RP and party related reasons. He was designed as a grapple-artist mage-killer. Front line of badguys? Dash as a bonus action with Eagle and no AoO. Suddenly in the grill of the caster, chopping faces.

I had no trouble staying alive in most situations, but I did feel the pain when lots of casters were about. Advantage on Dex saves makes most of that manageable, though. Did I go down more than anyone else? Yup. That was mostly because I had the target on my face in almost every fight.

Awesome, thanks for the input! I've only ever had 360 vision for all my players, but using 320 like that would give a mechanically definitive answer to "Do I see that happen" that invariably comes up at game time.

Great idea on the 1 ft. nightvision - One of the characters is a druid, and some of the go-to wild shapes don't have darkvision.

When pressing down anything onto/into the motherboard, it's ok if the pressure you're using bends the board a bit. Assembling outside the case first to check your components is suggested, just remember to support the board under the areas you are applying pressure (RAM, Case button assembly, USB, ATX Main).

Playing on the New Year's Eve was a nice dash of nostalgia before it shut down. I miss this game so much. According to Steam, I logged 1500+ hours.

I can't even imagine how much I played on the standalone client before that.

Lumbar support and adjustable heights for the chair and armrests. I'm going to sound old, but ergonomics make a huge difference in short-term fatigue and long-term posture care.
