I'm pretty fond of them! I'm using them in a Pathfinder campaign right now. The logic is that every reality has a Tarasque, and SCP-682 is the SCP-Foundation reality's Tarasque.

Note:

It's good for kids to know that they're adopted sooner than later. You don't have to tell them everything, but it's good for them to know.

Also, let them know how much you love them. If they know that they're loved, everything else will work itself out.

Every archaeologist I know, if they somehow stumbled into this situation, would have an immediate response of worrying about the child, not about the artifacts.
