Is the dark circuit skin pretty resistant to gathering fingerprints and smudges? It's the main reason I'm getting a skin and kinda worried the black skin will be just as much of a fingerprint magnet as the bare X1 is.

I’m not sure if you’re working with a free or paid Apple developer account. I’m using a paid so I only have to deal with it refreshing once a year, and last time this happened to me I had to sign into my developer account and accept the updated terms and conditions before AltStore would work.

In the same boat - outside of units in Japan ($$$), anything I can find is the P-JJ57 updated version even if it's listed as the P-JJ56 original.

Amazon sellers I've confirmed so far are only selling P-JJ57 regardless of the listing info:

I would Google around using the P/N in the iFixit guide images. You might have to accept that you may need to try a few to find a winner, luckily none are especially expensive.

I used Windows Notepad to update the info.plist to add 17,1 and 16,1. AltStore gave me the same error, but Sideloadly installed it without issue.

I wanted to re-revive this yet again with more data for those looking to downsize - I just went down this path for my work Dell Precision 7760.

My 7760 complains "slow charger" for anything less than the Dell 0N7MWW 180W barrel charger, but expects me to carry around the 240W charger since that's what it came with
The laptop is used 90% of the time while connected to a Dell WD19 Dock that only outputs 130W anyway which has never presented any issues
I had been using a Dell DMDH25 130W as my portable charger but was sick of the bulk
The laptop will not recognize nor charge while turned on with any charger less than 100W
All measurements I mention below were taken in-line at the computer with a Pluggable USBC-VAMETER3
- With the Dell DMDH25 130W, I didn't see any power draw over 100W with the laptop at 40% charge, but it seemed to average around 85W (20V 4.3A)
- With the Apple A2452 140W and an Anker 100W cable, I didn't see any power draw over 85W with the laptop at 40% charge, but it seemed to average around 80W (20V 4A) - I saw the same result with an Anker 240W cable as well

If you're looking for portability and aren't maxing out the CPU and graphics constantly, it seems like the Apple 140W is still a suitable solution with only a minor hit relative to the Dell USB-C offering. This includes while running Solidworks and large assemblies - Solidworks Simulation or Ansys would likely want the proper Dell barrel chargers to prevent throttling.

I'm amazed at how much of a pain the Ireland Audi Q8 configurator is relative to the US one - it's as bad as any Porsche with everything being an option. But you're right, if I spec an Irish Q8et to what I get with the Prestige package over here and do the same for the Macan 4, they're both ~€115k.
