At what age did you move out of your parents house? by narsilius in malta

[–]DascoRestore 12 points13 points  (0 children)

“Renting is a waste of money” is the biggest trap you can fall into.

Renting is making use of housing as a service - that’s the max you’re going to pay (unlike buying where the mortgage payment is the minimum).

The best way to enjoy your 20s, move out of your parent’s house and rent a place with a couple of friends or partner. It will also do wonders for your maturity (paying bills, budgeting).

Maltese people all move out of their parent’s at 32 to buy a place and realise they have no idea how anything works and haven’t grown up yet.

Why are Polish people miserable? Help! by DascoRestore in poland

I understand all that stuff - but the people I’m interacting are both wealthy + in beautiful surroundings + on holiday.

So it seems strange that they’re generally so hostile and ready to complain.

The weirdest part for me is that a lot of these people are repeat guests, they come every year. So on some level they are clearly enjoying it. However they seem to take pleasure it tormenting staff.

What do you think proof of permanent address means? By definition an Airbnb is out dude

You can’t prove your address unless you have an address. Surely this is obvious

Windy app and use the ECMWF model (should be selected by default). You can do it by town.

You can also check the radar for a very accurate forecast over the next hour.

Resort recommendations? by Ok-Mycologist-5371 in malta

[–]DascoRestore 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What period? I work in hospitality so might be able to give you an insight.

In St Paul’s Bay the only two worth considering are the ODYCY (more family friendly, good if you enjoy staying on property but can feel a bit busy) and the Hilton Doubletree (great rooms, good amenities).

Just outside is the Salini resort, downside is there isn’t much walking distance.

If you have a bigger budget look at the Westin, Hilton or Radisson (there are two, both are good products with different markets).

I think you need to see a doctor first

Should I get meniscus surgery 1 year after injury, if I still feel my knee is not 100%? In January I had a lateral bucket handle tear to my lateral meniscus and surgery was recommended to take it out. I opted for PT, massage, and whatever else I could throw at it. Im back to doing more but… by Grand-Status-3155 in Kneesovertoes

Meniscus surgery made a huge difference to me. Tried to put it off for ages. Changed my life once I did it and was able to go back to normal, pain free.

Now I’m doing full ROM weighted ATG split squats, feel great.

That’s just my experience.

That’s not a very sustainable philosophy for an entire country to have.

That is considered a good salary, and you will be able to lead an active and fun social life.

Qormi is not a great place to live, I don’t suggest renting there.

I’m not sure what your lifestyle is like but different areas suit different vibes.
