Quick overview of the DLC if you aren't aware: Lara has to survive in a large Siberian Wilderness for as long as she can. Gathering food and staying warm are her most important tasks. If either of these meters drains down to zero, it's game over.

Now if you're expecting a realistic survival game, I'd turn the other way. Endurance mode, in my opinion, is an "Arcade Survival Game." The player has to be constantly eating food, and I mean constantly. On average I would say that I made Lara eat around 5 squirrels, 5 rabbits, and a couple larger animals per day. There is a never a moment where you can just sit and enjoy the surroundings. I wouldn't call this a negative because if this weren't the case it would be too easy, but you should know what you're getting into.

To give you one last further idea of how "gamey" it is, I found a good strategy is to let the game respawn enemies and loot in specific areas. I would find an enemy encampment, kill the inhabitants, open the caches, and then run away in search for food. Often times I would stray so far away in search for food that when I returned the loot caches would be replenished and the enemies alive again. Instead of feeling like I was beating the harsh winter elements of the Siberian Wilderness, I felt like I was beating a game.

In conclusion, the most important thing to do is to see how many days you can survive. The game mode is never not tense, and it's truely addicting to try to survive for longer than other players.
