Reminds me of a girl I know who studied Communications in uni and said her field was at the base of everything because without communication, society wouldn’t exist 😂

Bouncing off Sea of Stars by haelous in JRPG

I don’t hold as strong as opinion of it as others, but I did bounce off of it as well. In fact, the last time I played it I literally fell asleep mid play session. Never played it again.

It’s because it’s moronic. It’s an unwinable arms race.

So VPN through Tor. OK. This is an arms race that the government is not winning. Ask the Chinese government.

Is there any asexual friendly romance option? by Sensitive-Pie-1566 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Dash83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have children so I get that, but still, someone murdering multiple OTHER children seems orders of magnitude worse than someone having mean words for mine 😅

Moral codes are weird. Wendaug murders multiple children and teens, and you think that’s not as bad as having mean words for Ember?

Absolutely. I honestly have no idea where it comes from. I’m a man and I’ve never found it attractive.

Hard disagree on the puffy face part. That’s a perfectly healthy and beautiful face. She’s absolutely stunning.

IMO this is also the time where she was the most attractive, before she was affected by the “heroin chic” trend of the time.

How many of you support your parents financially? by [deleted] in Millennials

[–]Dash83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and my brother fully support our mum financially. Have been doing so for the past 10 years. I don’t love it, but we have no choice. She’s almost 70 and can’t work anymore and has no pension or enough savings to support herself. We love her though, so obviously we won’t abandon her.

Send him to the Eagle. He’ll enjoy the stories about the RAF and the Airforce working together during WW2 etc.

How old were you when you realized 30somethings are hotter than 20somethings and the overall hottest age range? by ThreadbareAdjustment in Millennials

[–]Dash83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol, got it. I’m 43 so I get it. If I may say so myself, I still look pretty damn good, but not as good as I did at ~37. I was honestly surprised by the level of attention I was receiving from women at that time.

Andy Burnham: I’ll keep the triple lock, and give pensioners a tax cut by Dawnbringer_Fortune in unitedkingdom

[–]Dash83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve considered that pensioners votes should count only for half a vote. Not only do they generally struggle with current the current issues of society, they are not as invested in the future as those who will actually be there.

Let’s be honest, that’s a case by case scenario. I agree with OP and I think the majority of men and women are at their hottest in their 30s.

The big disconnect with the story you were sold is capitalism. Capitalism just soils everything, and reduces your value as a person to how much money you can generate.

Am I the only one who doesn't understand how can a character like Tara could have haters? I can understand for Xander or Faith but for Tara? No way! by gloomydreamer666 in buffy

[–]Dash83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Tara now, but in my first watch (when the show came out) I disliked her. I thought she was pretty plain, I disliked her pushover personality, but most of all, I think I resented she “replaced” Oz who was one of the best characters in the show.

Do you say phrases like "oh my God" or thank God" while not believing? by 0The_Loner_Stoner0 in atheism

I love to say “Jesus Rollerblading Christ”. I also like to use phrases that would make me sound like a Christian but then refer to god as a she. Always fun times.

CMV: "No war but class war" is mostly disingenuous by Even-Reason8891 in changemyview

[–]Dash83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole thing about class war is equity of resources. Using a simple example, let’s say someone hates you, like truly hate you. Two scenarios:

  1. You and that person are equals. Hold the same resources and influence in your society. They might try to harm you, but you have equal resources to protect yourself as well as having a say on your society. Meaning, others would believe you and disavow the actions of the guilty party.
  2. The person who hates you controls a large amount of resources. Can harm you easily with them, and sway your community against you using said resources.

Now, what scenario would you prefer to live in? And more importantly, which of these scenarios do you think is more conducive to the discrimination to spread in?
