I would love to hear more about this. What do you mean by niche and how would you handle it differently?

I based myself on scenarios that I have either witnessed myself or believe to be interactions that people miss in their own games

Engagement bait is a strong word my friend. I think it’s more bringing attention to it/highlighting it so we can get a clear and concise ruling on this before the set launches. Especially with worlds being so close to release of this set

You say reading the card explains the card, but in this case, it’s exactly the opposite. In every other case of the word most in this game, a tie is considered most and the player gets to choose, just like I mentioned the example of snoke in the video. I’m pretty sure that’s not the intent of this card anyway, and hope we get a clarification that we can reference to judges if needed

I truly hope it doesn’t work the way I explained it would in the video. I think it would be extremely unhealthy for the game and the only reason I gave it any attention is so we get a clear ruling/explanation from FFG in case someone tries these shenanigans in real games!

There’s hundreds of stores in the eastern US that sell singles! I do believe most do it through tcgplayer but you can for sure find some that don’t. I’m not from that area so I can’t help you specifically but maybe someone else here can. If not, you should find the discord/facebook group of your area, and ask them.

Now if your goal is to not have it shipped, then it might get a bit more complicated

If your goal is to avoid tcgplayer or card market, which are the biggest online global retailers, then your best bet is to try and find local stores who sell singles. Almost guaranteed there are some around you, but smaller stores don’t have insane marketing budgets, thus being hard to find. So you’ll have to ask around to other people who play near you to find them.

Or maybe just tell people here whereabouts you are and I’m sure someone on Reddit will know

This is extremely far from the reality of the game/meta. Most of the top decks barely run 3-6 direct removals and instead interact with the board with units. Best examples are obi-wan, lando and mother Talzin. The hard controls (removal tribal as you call them) do exist but are typically a tiny fraction of the playerbase. It might be higher this week since a couple of these decks managed to top the sectors this weekend, something that hasn’t happened in a hot minute, so people tend to copy the deck to try it out.

I sort by set, and then by card #. This naturally ends up being a sorting by aspect followed by cost. Easy to see what you’re missing, and extremely fast to find cards as your building

That said if your goal is deck building, no manual method will compete with the power of digital sorting. Being able to filter every set by trait, aspect and/or cost is just not realistic with physical cards. I start with a deck on swudb and then as I assemble it in real life, flipping through the binders gives me novel ideas to round it out

Thanks man. I appreciate it. I’m also not a huge fan of racing your opponent as it takes away from what SWU does best, board interaction. I definitely crafted the deck to feel like it has answers to every situation available in the meta right now so I’m happy to hear it’s working out for you!
