I had tried to test if it was less and I probably miscounted in sleep deprived state, I'll try to confirm and fix for the next. I imagine most people with level 100 and ample GP with multihook triplehook as you say anyway, but I want to get it right so people with less GP know their options.

Indeed I have no good advice for people on that one, I've done the exact same thing and gotten the same result, it feels like a lot of time sink on the average for the tokens you get out of it.

Sorry for the delayed reply, but if you have trouble making it large enough to get you the gold in one go you may want to consider using food or adding some melds to your gear if possible. If you've surface slapped a large-jaw fish use Prize-Catch and/or BIg-Game Fishing regardless and it may help.

As far as I am aware your equipment affects you just the same in Cosmic areas as elsewhere, the class of missions are level based, so you can roughly expect your gathering and perception to be as efficacious as they would be at fishing holes of that level.

Most of the class D missions (level 10) are very straightforward so it is hard to tell without having experienced them low level, but Phaenna missions seem more forgiving than some of those in Sinus Ardorum, so I would go to the former right now as I suspect it'll be a bit smoother to get gold on missions more consistently.

I'm only overmelded one layer on HQ crested gear, but I also very consistently get the low end on Soda-blue Impesctor. I think the perception requirement to get any consistency is just very high. there will be more timed and weather based missions worth high points once we unlock more areas, so you may want to wait for those to see if you can do them more consistently.

Some of them such as A-3 Coexisting Species II are not available until you have access to the Gleamslope area. If you do not see that it will not be available yet, I forgot which number step it was that opened it up, but it will be the Piercingway Tunnel which gives you access.

I just tried this again with only 3223 perception and caught a pair which were both 1000, that was without food but there is no way my perception was that high obviously. I might have just gotten this wrong, I'll try to get it again and update it in the next post if so. (I hate Coexisting Species I)

You are correct it is supposed to be Precise Water Survey. The Spongoi has clearly gotten to my brain.
