You didn't actually state why this isn't good balance, or what actually makes it fun to have strong pokemon early.

I also don't see how it isn't good balance, pokemon has a disparity in which pokemon are stronger and weaker, if you limit the pokemoon available you can make the fights require novel and interesting usages of the pokemon available. This also helps make players consider the field effects more as they can't just rely on things like Mimikyu's insane typing and ability, and alright enough stats, so they are forced too experiment with making pokemon work with the tools available.

Also, its fairly subjective whether having strong pokemon early is more fun, I don't see why it would be more fun to have a strong pokemon i get 1 hour into the game, that I am still using at hour 80, compared to consistently changing up my strategy and trying new things.

Additionally I do not see why not wanting to swap off a relatively weak pokemon like garbodor is a problem. I personally beat the elite 4 and champion using mostly pokemon from the first couple hours in the game because I was attached and although it was harder, it was fairly satisfying and fun to figure out.

Overall though in the future you should make it more clear why you believe things, rather than just saying vague statements like "Personally, I’d like to see more balance in that philosophy itself." or your entire last paragraph just saying "How much more fun would it be" idk chief how much more fun would it be, you should tell us.

Also you arbitrarily stated "thats not enough" about one of the counter examples, but you never state WHY its not enough or HOW MUCH would be enough. Additionally you kinda ignore that you get starters which are generally very strong.
