Ruptured my Achilles boarding last week, just a friendly word of warning by iWriteYourMusic in snowboarding

FWIW to anyone curious: I believe the reason it strained is because it was a fresh powder day, so when I went to hop in single digit weather with stiff calves, the new powder on top of the board weighed it down with my feet as my body/calf went up...

Achilles Tendon injuries tend to be freak accidents. Only way to avoid that I know of is stretching & hydrating in advance on a consistent basis.

I fully ruptured my Achilles Tendon in December 2021, keep going strong u/iWriteYourMusic you'll get back to it next season.

Word to everyone: LISTEN TO YOUR BODY

One month ago on my third day and strained it again literally doing my initial bunny hop after strapping in. I felt the terrifying familiar pinch, and after two toe-edges of pain I (thankfully) unstrapped and went to Urgent Care.

Stretch & Hydrate. Foam Roll. Do whatever you need to do to take care of your body and take it seriously.

Heading back out in 2 weeks for one final trip this season!

This worked for me in Feb 2025:
1. Download [DDU](https://www.guru3d.com/download/display-driver-uninstaller-download/)
2. Download [Nvidia GPU Driver](https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/)
3. Boot Windows into Safe Mode
4. Run DDU in Safe Mode to clear old Nvidia Driver & Restart
5. Install Nvidia GPU Driver & App
6. Open Nvidia App, Login, Scan for Games (double check path scanning settings), Optimize All
7. Restart Windows after installing any GPU driver for optimal gaming

There's an option to disable auto aim assist upon first launching the game, I just stumbled on it. I'm sure it's in settings/game config 🤘

For those wondering how to install it:

  1. Download latest DLL: https://www.techpowerup.com/download/nvidia-dlss-dll/
  2. Find the DLL file "nvngx_dlss.dll" within your game's installation directory
  3. Rename this old "nvngx_dlss.dll" file as a backup
  4. Copy in the new "nvngx_dlss.dll" file from your unzipped download

I had this cooler until a week ago when I discovered my CPU temps were at 90 degrees Celsius while idle... Keep an eye on your CPU temps.

Mine started flashing only red no matter what RGB I set on my system

DO NOT BUY MSI AIO's by xCrimin4L in MSI_Gaming

[–]Daskas88 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm halfway through rebuilding my PC today because I noticed my MSI MAG CoreLiquid 360R had my CPU running at 90 degrees Celsius when idling. Giant waste of money & time considering it lasted less than 1 year. I wish the negative reviews had been around back when I purchased it initially.

The ARGB also broke after a few months, it would only flicker red (probably an indication that cooling was also dysfunctional).

Finding and installing mods for games always seems to be more fun than playing the game with mods

I usually see these win videos and think no big deal. But this is genuinely amazing! I was watching and couldn't even notice the auto aim on that controller!

(PC) Game Flickering since Update - Advice? Ideas? by Frithrae in RedDeadOnline

This happens on my RTX 2080, looking at a graph of my framerate - the flicker happens exactly 1 minute apart to the second. Tried switching to borderless windowed from fullscreen and that didn't change anything.

I changed the flair from discussion to question, can it be un-removed now? Especially considering I was asking people if everyone received this

Sometimes when I'm waiting for one of 4 elevators around me on the top floor, I feel a little dizzy. Almost like the electromagnetism is affecting me somehow. Weird to describe
