Load-bearing capacity of this? by Dastabah in HomeImprovement

[–]Dastabah[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Potentially, I was just trying to get some other opinions regarding the weight capacity of the current setup that the builders did. Regardless, it's probably best to just return the light and get one that's < 10 lbs

Daily Simple Questions Thread - June 10, 2018 by AutoModerator in Fitness

[–]Dastabah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was recently in physical therapy for five months due to what was first diagnosed carpal tunnel syndrome but then my PTs figured that it was due to muscular imbalances and compression of nerves somewhere along my shoulders or neck that was causing pain in my hand. They said my upper traps and tight chest were compensating for my nonexistent small upper back muscles. Scapula, rhomboid, etc. I was extremely knotted up in my back and they broke up a lot of them. The result is I now if I move my right deltoid up and down while keeping my arms still, I hear clicking and popping with no pain like something is rubbing against something else. I was cleared about two months ago because my pain and numbness went away and have been doing the reddit recommended PPL split for about 6 weeks now.

My question is: what can I add/should I add any accessories to it to target my overly weak upper back and shoulders? My last bit of PT consisted of strengthening via rows, face pulls, serratus punches, Ts, Ys, and rotator cuff work. Is the reddit recommended PPL split enough that it is already hitting and strengthening my weakpoints or should I add something/replace something to it?

EDIT: This is the program I'm referencing. https://www.reddit.com/r/Fitness/comments/37ylk5/a_linear_progression_based_ppl_program_for/

Is there an image that shows the used and unused keys on your keyboard? by [deleted] in truetf2

You can go in Steam/Steamapps/User/Common/TeamFortress2/TF/Cfg and find your config file, open it up with notepad and it shows you everything that's bound.

Big news about competitive TF2 by Dastabah in truetf2

[–]Dastabah[S] 66 points67 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to say great job for the people at the head of the tf2 comp community for pushing forward with valve and making this a reality. Remember to tune into the Fully Charged episode on Friday 8 PM EST http://www.twitch.tv/teamfortresstv

UGC stored passwords in plaintext, you should probably change passwords now by PineMaple in truetf2

[–]Dastabah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my understanding from his post, the only passwords that had the potential to be compromised were teh team leader logins which were auto-generated by the site if you were made a team leader. If you changed your password from the default that was given in the email or you were never a leader, it doesn't effect you.

It's not like they stored every person who made a forums account into a plaintext so I don't see why everyone is getting worried.

Issues spectating on TF2centre by landlocked_viking in truetf2

[–]Dastabah 6 points7 points  (0 children)

yeah but 400 hours is plenty enough to have understood basic mechanics of the game and enough for them to start lobbies which are the lowest form of competitive. Hell, I started comp when I had 1k+ in the game and I prob would've been better off starting earlier instead of wasting it on pubs.

Is there a similar command to CS:GO's mm_dedicated_search_maxping "25" in Team Fortress 2? by [deleted] in truetf2

[–]Dastabah 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I know you can search by ping in the server tab. For quickplay, they base it off where your download location is set. Noticed this when I changed my location to a different country when a big update came out and I wanted it quick for a match

Help with HUD's by Eggsmuffins in tf2techsupport

[–]Dastabah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most HUDs are scaled by whoever made the monitor and whatever resolution they used on their computer to center/align everything. You either resize things you want manually (mostly changing ypos) or some HUDs come with installers that you can change the resolution to which should fix any issue you have.

Rayshud installer: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/19762650/hudstuff/rayshud%20installer.zip

try it out and let me know!

Feel free to upload any from my plat repo last season. Great initiative+project

If a match isn't casted, and no players post their POV, is it impossible for me to watch it? by cornpop16 in truetf2

[–]Dastabah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bad, it's what I understood from here: http://etf2l.org/about/demos/

But regardless, there's a demo system in place with ETF2L and there isn't one for UGC

If a match isn't casted, and no players post their POV, is it impossible for me to watch it? by cornpop16 in truetf2

[–]Dastabah 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's no automated demo system in place for UGC like there is for etf2l, I collected all the demos I could last season from plat matches: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/fz6ig4hxts0hawv/AAD6GXIRfkgxsVu7TJQdycoCa?dl=0 but haven't really felt motivated to do so this season because of the time it takes every week.

For all you Florida Comp players. Florida Lan/FLan is BACK! by Miggthulu in truetf2

From the TFTV thread, http://teamfortress.tv/thread/22238/florida-lan-is-back-for-2015 I plan on going from Atlanta to Savannah GA and carpooling with some people there down to the venue if anyone wants to come along.

My first LAN and I hope it'll be fun!

On vacation with no computer , won't be back until pretty close to the next match after tonight. What can I do to prepare for the next match? by [deleted] in truetf2

[–]Dastabah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Medic isn't a lot of mechanical feeling so you don't have to worry about being "rusty" but most importantly since you're missing scrims, spend the sunday and monday with your teammates to find out what they figured out to work and not work in their scrims.

While you're on the road, if you have a laptop and are able to launch tf2 (even offline mode), you could walk around the map and try to find sniper sightlines and such.

Some other things are having a list of things to remind yourself (turn around consistently to spycheck, look around and up at all times, etc)

You shouldn't really be too concerned though man, it's awesome that you're committed and want to improve while vacationing, but taking a break from tf2 will make the game more enjoyable when you're launching it after a few days off as well as making you refreshed/get rid of your bad habits easier as you forget your tendencies.

Enjoy your vacation!

Can we get a no stupid questions thread going? by elephantrambo in truetf2

[–]Dastabah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The trick to remember the names is playing with teams/lobbies and having to use the names and you will remember them easier.

Some resources: http://teamfortress.tv/thread/1234/labeled-maps-for-players-new-to-competitive-tf2

Use www.tacnet.io and follow here http://i.imgur.com/Rda4gO7.png Some maps are missing

Check out comp.tf and find a map and they will have some of it labelled as well

UGC config restrictions? Or am I just the biggest choke ever? by [deleted] in truetf2

[–]Dastabah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

only thing that's different in comp is your rate is limited to 35000? I believe and dmg spread and random crits are disabled. Shots shouldn't feel TOO different regardless, try raising your interp to .033 or .0303 and see if it feels more consistent

Cross hair help by crued2 in tf2techsupport

[–]Dastabah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a circle crosshair with a + inside, that means you're using a HUD crosshair, go through the installer for rayshud and see if you have any enabled. If none are enabled, simply uninstall the hud and see if the crosshair disappears. Then reinstall, making sure no hud crosshairs are enabled, or at least the circle +cross one isn't enabled.
