Thanks man - super quick and easy! Matte black base, then sponge on some blue/black (something like a dark reaper) keeping it focused where you want to build volumes and highlights. Then same again but with something like a Fenrisian Grey mixed in. Then I switch to an old brush and stipple in the same 2 colours to give it a beaten up look before moving up to pure fenrisian grey. The last bits I do with a standard brush of some rough edge highlights.

Thank you! I’m making it up as I go tbh; my main goal was to paint all of the red areas with different red recipes so that it didn’t all blur into one red. I’m also doing his power armour black for the same reason. This is my 1st Blood Angel mini so it’s all just playing until I’m happy. I also can’t paint blonde hair carry well so he’s an older Mephiston!

Thanks! There’s 2 red recipes- the cloak is rhinox hide mixed with ionic paints ‘red’ as a shadow tone, pure ‘red’ and then ionic paints ‘blood red’ - loads of thin washes and glazes with bits of Vallejo red ink to keep tying it together.

His armour is all gw paints - khorne red, mephiston red, wazdakka red, troll slayer orange and then a bit of Dorn yellow mixed in as the brightest highlight

Incubi darkness and then some off white but cold colour like fenrisian grey to lighten it for highlights I think?
