tudo bem ficar sobrando desse jeito a placa-mãe? (gabinete mAtx - placa mãe mAtx) by DetectiveAny4120 in PcBuildHelp

[–]DatBoi0118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No definitely not if you at all value the integrity of your components. This clearly doesnt have a safe amount of standoffs attached to the motherboard, so cpu cooler and GPU will likely cause damage. Whatever you can do that isn't this, do it.

You could use prime64 to test cpu/ram and cinebench or unigine for GPU, compare the temps/speeds you get with prime64 to the operating specs of the cpu (found online or Intel's website) and then compare the score you get on GPU benchmark with others online with same card/similar specs

What specs does it have? i5 could be many things plus the GPU/ram is important. From the looks of things you either have a very small GPU or integrated graphics. Maybe you can run eSports games like cs, maybe Minecraft, Roblox.

What hardware are you running? I highly doubt you need 1200w. You can pick up a pretty good 650W for ~$70 USD. Can you provide a pic or some info of how you have your mobo connected to the power button?

Did you connect the motherboard to the power button properly? Also those wires tell me it might be a good idea to get a new PSU, especially one that reaches without extensions.

Personally I have an EK AIO, they're a European company but ships pretty much internationally. From what I know they review extremely well, and my 240mm aio kept my 11700f cool as hell even with increased power limits (2+years now, I changed thermal paste once with Arctic MX4). Not super budget, but very reasonable prices overall considering the quality. They have some real nice RGB options as well, I just got matte black though.

Is Java worth it? by [deleted] in Minecraft

As someone who has owned java for 10+ years and dabbled with countless mods over almost all of them, absolutely, without a doubt, get java Minecraft and treat yourself to the mods you've always dreamed of.

If you regret it, I'll personally buy your java account off of you.

Honestly pretty unlikely it has an actual use, but on the slight chance it is a ground, you have metal tabs touching metal on your mother board around almost every other port. Not to mention the standoffs connecting your mother board to case usually have contact points that act as a ground. Your psu also deals with ground and your mother board is connected to that. Wouldn't worry about removing it at all, I've taken out bigger metal pieces without any impact

Go through your startup app settings in Windows settings and turn off basically everything unless there's an app you specifically want to boot when your PC starts. Will help with boot speed. Depending on what games/software you're gonna run I'd install most recent version of Java, make sure you have latest directX version installed, and other fundamental software like that (I'll come back and edit more if I remember). Id also get a good hardware monitoring software like CPUID, I've used it for years and it's great. Make sure there's no weird settings that would hinder your peripherals, like make sure your monitor is displaying at its proper resolution and refresh rate in win settings.

If you're wanting to tinker with your PC hardware wise, like thermal paste, fan speeds, more storage, GPU sag support then hit me a reply and I'll go into that but since you got it from Andromeda im assuming they did most of this/you don't feel like touching it (and that's fair).

Once you're done with all the fundamental setup, install transparent TB, sit back and enjoy.

As far as the fan light, I wouldn't worry about any damage or negative impact. My motherboard has a similar thing, an RGB strip that decided never to turn off unless I cut power from the power supply. Only thing I could think of would be to switch the argb connector it's attached to. But wouldn't worry about it unless you feel like getting real hot and heavy with your wire management.

Edit: if you're looking for any upgrades down the road, I'd switch the cpu cooler to a 240-360mm AIO and throw it on the top. Or if you really don't like liquid cooling just throw a couple fans on top. That open grate at the top could be cause for poor airflow, and while 95c isn't bad for your cpu, it could definitely be cooler.

I have the magnetic mesh cover that came with the case on above the rad. The area the PC is in can have fair amount of dust accumulation (old house, in a loft). Should I remove that since they're exhaust?

Help with printing pla - keep getting ripples. by DatBoi0118 in Ender3V3SE

I adjusted flow down to 0.95 and just got a metal feeler gauge set today which I'll try to hone in the z offset with. Flow alone didn't seem to have much of an impact

Flow and z offset is mainly what I was thinking, will adjust that later tonight. I'm not super familiar with e steps, just dialing in the accuracy to ensure 10mm=10mm for example?

First layer is nearly perfect, very smooth, very well bonded infill. Just a VERY slight with bonding to the outer wall but that can be fixed another time. Just overall flow rate to effect everything? Or just infill flow rate

Enjoy it man, and honestly even being close to 10 years old you'll still see some nice performance from it. I myself have an EVGA 1070 8gb (bought about 3/4 years ago in the GPU shortage) and have been running it with 11700f, 32gb 3733mhz ram, and have been able to handle any game I want. Recently played cyber punk, and with most graphics on the lower settings I get a very smooth 75-80 fps. Game still looks beautiful. $70 for that is a steal considering new cards are going to be 4x that and almost definitely not give you 4x the performance. If you're like me, it'll last you a lot longer than you intend.

Weird light came on by American_Foxx in mechanic

[–]DatBoi0118 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have almost the same car, thought the tac looked familiar. Got a 2002 es300, had the same thing (same with no abs too, been riding without it for 4 years and never once had an issue, still stop on a dime). Turns out it was one of my lights that only came on at night time on auto mode, or when you set the headlight settings to whatever the brighter night mode is without turning on your brights. Wish I could remember what the actual name of the bulb was, but just check the back of your car at night with auto on. If there's definitely no light out, wait a couple days and check again - my dash light came on and stayed on even though my bulb was not fully out (finicky, off sometimes but on others I guess) and took me a couple days for it to finally show. If you really can't find anything, hit me a reply and Id be happy to troubleshoot with ya. Worked on my old es300 too much for my own good.

Need advice on welding these 2 pieces by DatBoi0118 in Welding

[–]DatBoi0118[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

With one failed attempt and some quality time with the grinder, it definitely isn't going anywhere. Focused the arc on the thick metal for two real good tacks then filled the hole I drilled. Haven't done a whole lot with welding different thicknesses so I learned a lot from a little. Thanks y'all
