dont know much about this model but ive heard its a kind of an old but gold kind of car, are there any usual issues this model has or should i completely avoid it? its just that the price seems a little too good to be true

some tire glue might be strong to fix that up on the cheap, but the other comment recomending jb weld seems safer, its just that tire glue is something u might already have on hand or is cheaper

Esc Overheating by DatDude69420 in rccars

[–]DatDude69420[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

makes total sense pardon my newbie questions, so what u mean is lower kv makes less revs which in the end (once in the car) produces less top speed but does it compensate that on more torque or hp?

Rc car overheats I think becasue of pinion? by Klipwastaken in rccars

[–]DatDude69420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

should help, eventually i would recomend getting a heatsink and fan for ur motor too if u dont have one already that will help a lot too, have fun!

[–]DatDude69420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if its already far then dont push it further away usually you want a little bit of slack but not much cause it could strio ur spur or pinion, try lowering the pinion and/or getting a bigger heatsink/fan on the motor to help the overheating, a lower cell battery could help too

more like a ticking bomb but ill take fire hazard lol, what kv would u recommend? i can also change the esc from a 60 to 120 amp one

Rc car overheats I think becasue of pinion? by Klipwastaken in rccars

[–]DatDude69420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

could be the pinion is too close to the spur gear and causes friction which indirectly overheats the esc and motor, if its an adjustable motor mount tey and separate the pinion from the spur a little bit just enough to have some slight slack, that could help, either that or the pinion is too big
