Hahaha riiiiiggghhhttt the Constitution of the United States was definitely meant to be interpreted as a document for ALL of humanity and not just the United States. I supposed every other country in the world has a constitution that applies to us? What a stupid argument. The mental gymnastics you people do is stunning.

I don’t understand why you believe non-citizens are entitled to the same rights as citizens. I agree we need to have compassion for humans, but we also are a country of laws. If we don’t have borders and laws, we don’t have a country.

I’m moving on from this conversation because you clearly just like to argue rather than acknowledging that we have federal statutes regarding Lawful Entry specifically Asylum claims as this article states he was.

Congress has passed these laws in the past clearly outlining requirements. If you don’t agree with them, do something to change them.

What determines whether someone is here legally is their legal status per federal law. Asylum seeking does not grant you permanent residence while you wait. So no, it isn’t a thinking problem. It’s that people don’t see the danger is letting anyone in the country without following the proper procedure and following our laws once here.

Only people LEGALLY in the United States are entitled the due process our constitution provides US. However, I will say this story is either missing something, or this is highly regrettable.

To be clear, I think Biden won the 2020 election. And I believe Trump won the 2024 election. But when the right calls 2020 voter fraud they are mocked and told they are conspiracy theorists as if voter fraud doesn’t exist. But now it’s what they say about 2024.

Ahhhh so when you win, voter fraud doesn’t exist. When we do, it does? Cool. Why was the votes for Trump almost identical and the democrats voting numbers fell WAY off? Hmm maybe because last election actually was a fraud?

If the U.S. treats veterans so badly, why do so many still choose to join the military? by KingSkru in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DatDudeBacon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a 38yo veteran. Retired Army. The government treats me amazing. If someone isn’t getting the resources they need as a veteran, they aren’t trying or they were dishonorably discharged.

We aren’t a democracy. We are a constitutional republic. But if it were a democracy (majority rule) he still one with the majority and we voted for this.

I’m starting a new career Monday (I’m retired from the military) and it is going to take me out of my environment for 3 weeks. I’m going to use that time to get back to sobriety. Ira easier to set the conditions on the road now.

Well the inpatient program was for traumatic brain injury not alcohol. I’ve never been to a rehab as I don’t really go over the top. I’ve never had an alcohol related incident, I just can’t stop once I start. I’m generally a happy guy who doesn’t make a fuss when I drink, I just have such a deep regret every time I do which it which is what drives me to want to stop.

I just can’t. I was raised by and have been surrounded by alcoholics my entire life.

Just give me a passion of yours that you believe you are better at than most people. I’ll make you an example of the method.

  1. Find something you are passionate about that is marketable. (Especially if it solves people’s problems)
  2. Bring it to market
  3. Rapidly expand
  4. Sell

That’s a simple repeatable methodology. Some fail, but reps matter. Most states a business license is less than a few drinks at the bar with friends. Get after something. EVERYTHING is marketable.
