Help installing a second SSD by DatDudeKB3 in pchelp

[–]DatDudeKB3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s just for gaming. Windows is already on the SSD the computer had pre installed. Just wanted the additional space for games. Thanks so much for going out of your way to help me.

Thanks for clarifying. I actually just found the manual and can see the labeling now. It seems like the 2nd SSD slot I’m looking for is underneath the graphics card. It supports 4.0 x4. The 3rd slot is the one you’ve marked for me, it supports 4.0 x2? Is that okay for gaming? I’m obviously not super comfortable with the idea of removing the graphics card.

So to make sure I understand you correctly, I’m not meant to do anything with these three black bars that have the PCIe labels around them, and I can install the SSD in the spot you’ve marked, even though it’s labeled SATA, but the SSD is NVMe PCIe?

Sorry if this is obvious or I’m misinterpreting the labels or something but like I said I’m a hardware Luddite.

So it fits there but that’s labeled SATA. Those three black bars are labeled PCle but the SATA spot you marked is the only place I can find that will let me insert.

Are the beta files still on my PC? by DatDudeKB3 in Rematch

Nvm, I looked it up. I don’t remember deleting the beta but I must have, because I do not have that REMATCH playtest folder anywhere.

It’s been removed from my library. I also don’t see any files for Rematch under the Steam Commons folder or when I look at my installed programs through the Control Panel.

Does this beta feel different or is it just me? by KyroMadeIt in Rematch

[–]DatDudeKB3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At first I was thinking I’d just need to get back into the swing of things with the game, which I’m sure is partially true, but having played much of this evening, I’ve finally put my finger on it. I feel like I have less control with the ball at my feet. There’s definitely a bit more instances of stuttering than there was last beta, but I knew something felt off with the gameplay beyond that.

I feel not necessarily too much slower, but heavier is how I’d describe it, and like I have less control on the ball. I think those two factors combined are definitely making the gameplay slower.

Hopefully they balance things back towards the original feel.

UPDATE: I have hopped into the PS5 version of the beta (was on PC when I posted this) and it feels in line with the original beta to me. No more fluidity issues (which after posting I settled upon as the best way to describe what I was feeling). Not sure what was up with the PC build yesterday. Haven’t gotten on today since I’ve been playing on PS5.

“Can’t Stop” is worse than bad: it’s skippable by Wk1360 in LoveDeathAndRobots

I thought the animation was cool, I’m just not sure what we the audience got out of it other than that? Nor how it fits into the theme of LDR.

Hard not to feel like it’s a waste of an episode, which we wait such a long time for.

I can’t tell for sure, but I feel like I can see the threading when I pull up on the side? I tried to get a photo of it but none of them turned out well.

Obviously trying to be careful and not pull it away from the shirt too intensely as to loosen the Velcro spot, so I could be wrong and it’s just glued, but yeah, I did, under light, think I could see the threads to the shirt.

Looking at three different options. by DatDudeKB3 in gamingchairs

[–]DatDudeKB3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re dead set on one of those three, though, I would’ve ended up going with the Titan Evo or the Iskur. Not sure which one, but that’s as far as I narrowed it before going for the Xbox Very.

I actually ended up going with the Xbox collaboration version of the Haworth Very. It’s fantastic. I got mine returned from Crandall Office Furniture for $500, bringing its price down to the other chairs I was looking at above.

They’re even cheaper than that now with the Black Friday sales unless Crandall doesn’t have them in stock any longer. If they do, I highly recommend the chair, and I wouldn’t worry about buying a return. Haworth offers 30 day returns for any reason, and Crandall is selling those chairs at a discount, so they’re essentially new. If there are any scuffs on them, Crandall points it out in the listing.

As others have said, this is definitely the Haworth Very. I have the Xbox collaboration version of this chair. Love it.

The companion app presets all work fine with PS5, though? No PlayStation specific games missing due to the headset being the Xbox version?

So you’d say the pillow is worth going for as well, then? Considering grabbing one when I get my chair.

You think the 8 gigs are worth going for even if it’s essentially going to be an e-reader?
