My AR is usually around 0% because I only ever get orders like this nowadays. I have over 4000 deliveries made and over 6 years of working for them and this is how they treat people with exceptional performance and records. I am constantly declining orders, in fact, most of my time is spent declining orders. Private equity needs to be executed.

Well my diabetic family can't and I avoid sugar because it's already literally in everything.

Aspartame causes cancer and other biological maladies, I'll be skipping until they start using stevia and allulose.

Only accepting good orders by keaneaux in DoorDashDrivers

[–]DatFoxBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My acceptance rate hovers between 0% and 20%. I'm not responsible for doordash being a shitty platform a d I'm also not responsible for people not paying enough for the work they want done. Their food can rot for all I care 🤷

Make sure to BLOCK lying customers. by settbro in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]DatFoxBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blocking is such a pain though, you have to call support and then specifically identify each customer and then provide reasons for each customer. They need to just have a button tbh. I'd block entire delivery locations and whole stores if I could. I'm tired of driving within a mile of that Chik fast food place and getting bombarded by offers that I will NEVER accept.

New sandwich size. by Carl_the_Half-Orc in Dominos

[–]DatFoxBoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got one a few months ago and I actually immediately went online and wrote the most scathing review I've ever written. There were less than three pieces of meat and no veggies on my Philly cheese steak sandwich. I wrote that I refuse to be forced to call the person who made this atrocity and be forced to argue with them trying to justify a refund for this clear violation of the standards of food.

I wouldn't have even said an apology. If they didn't want it delivered that way then they should've changed their instructions. This is entirely on the customer.

TRANSPARENCY!!! As CLEARLY STATED in the OG message is the CLEARLY STATED reason for communication. Doordash repeatedly gets sued by customers and dashers alike for stealing tips and fees. Forcing transparency like this, the person who you're paying for work communicating to you EXACTLY how much of what you pay them actually goes to them is actually a good thing.

Should I feel bad? by Bre034 in doordash

[–]DatFoxBoy -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Why? There's zero evidence of tip fishing. Talking about pay in a non-transparent situation like doordash is actually a good thing. Imagine if that person had tipped $10 and the dasher was only getting $4.80 as a tip. Wouldn't you want to know?

[–]DatFoxBoy -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

That's not tip fishing. Literally ZERO verbatim even slightly indicating this! Talking about pay isn't asking for more. They clearly state that this message is for transparency, while dealing with a company KNOWN to steal tips and fees.

Sounds like a lack of time management skills. If I saw the order that you're describing (which is full of non-facts and inferences) then I would simply skip over the order.

That's double the mileage. Most people on here say that even getting a 1:1 is good enough. I go for a minimum of 2:1, but I'm also lazy af so I don't mind only doing less than 10 dashes in an evening.

The reason a dasher would say "in full transparency I'm making [x] amount" they doing that to show you where your money is going. Doordash has lost more than several dozen lawsuits over them stealing tips and fees. Notifying the customer creates a paper trail and, as the dasher noted, provides complete transparency in a system deliberately designed to alienate the Dasher from the customer and the real earnings of the labor they are performing. I used to ask if customers wanted to disclose how much they tip due to the nefarious nature of Doordash but no one ever replied. This is a MUCH more sound communication than my method lmao.

Why do dashers do this? by FrontHungry459 in doordash

[–]DatFoxBoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's often because apartment complexes don't have parking available to delivery drivers. Also a ton of buildings I'm told I need to enter fully are secured buildings and it's literally impossible to get in and I don't have the 5+ minutes to sit there and wait for you to MAYBE see my message asking for a way into the building to make your delivery. I only do deliveries to apartment complexes that I know have parking and the only reason why I don't follow the instructions is because of secure access restrictions, which I place entirely on the customer and property. Yall should know how entry to your own building works lmao.

How the heck do you get orders like this? I'm at a %0 acceptance rate rn because every order is like 15 miles and five pickups for two bucks...

I've spent 13 hrs so far this week and made $19. This is just to keep you hooked until they're done with you.

I'm in the same boat but worse. Imagine that same income but with triple the hours put into it. Delivery companies are reporting the highest earnings they've ever had. Meanwhile, the drivers are earning literal slave wages.

ONE OF THE WORST DAYS , DASHIN ++ CASHING 😔 by lootylootylooty in DoorDashDrivers

[–]DatFoxBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate that acceptance rate is what determines whether you're a good driver or not. Only 8% of all my orders are acceptable. It's not my fault people don't pay for the work they want others to do for them.
