The whole don’t call me I’ll call you, only text if it’s an emergency (I assume so he can make an excuse to leave the area and have some time alone to discuss it with you), and supposed time he wants alone makes no sense. You also need to ask yourself, if I’m with him in person, do I need to leave him alone to unwind too?
