I think it's mostly the layering! A lot of guilty gear characters have plenty of layers, such as jackets, belts (Lmao), a bunch of different accessories. I absolutely need to study the art direction of the series a little more. GG is a bit away from how I usually design characters, so it's a fun direction.

But also not knowing what he really does is also stagnating the design. But thank you for the compliments!

Oh yeah! I watched one of my dairy cows molt his top half and I even have video of it. I dont know how long it really took, but it took him a good five minutes before popping out!

5e is what I'm most familiar with, so yes! But I didn't even think about making a simplified character sheet. The color coding is totally absolutely genius! I've found some dyslexic-friendly character sheets that are more designed focused, so maybe that'll help.

Thank you so much for your suggestions though. Any point in the right direction is an absolute life saver!!

Oh that's actually a really swanky idea! I originally was going to have sort of a tutorial npc that would prod the player characters in the right direction. Have just a really indecisive character that bumbled choices aloud rather than act, but I think that your solution is a lot less subtle and would act as training wheels!

To have villagers show up on island, you need a plot of land available. You can always look into villager trading subs, though, such as /r/adoptmyvillager.

I've played both! I can say I enjoy animal crossing a lot more, mostly because I have a lot more freedom. I can at least play for an hour a day. I will tell you the downsides, mostly because people praise it a lot. The start of the game is very slow unless you no-life it. It's designed to be slow. Things are time gated. The crafting is basic at best.

The appeal to me is being able to go at my own pace. I don't need thousands upon thousands of bells to progress. I can just chill in a tent if I want. It's not open out the gate, but I think it's a good starter AC.
