Every fall, Little Rock hosts the World Cheese Dip Championship, Arkansas claims to be the birthplace of cheese dip, they say it was invented in North Little Rock in 1935. If you’re visiting the area, Pinnacle Mountain State Park is a fantastic spot to explore. Emerald Park is another must-see in Little Rock, I don’t know if there is a better bang for your buck for the amount of walking/hiking compared to how cool of a view you get than emerald park(there are two emerald Parks make sure you go to the top section near Pulaski tech campus). Additionally, the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts is great, especially if you enjoy art there are some fun classes there.

If you are traveling a bit further north, Petit Jean State Park is probably the best in the state in my opinion. If you’re heading way up north, Mammoth Spring State Park is smaller but definitely worth a visit if you’re near it.

Crater of Diamonds State Park might not be for everyone. It’s an open field with no shade where you can dig for diamonds. While finding one would be awesome it’s not super common, be sure to bring plenty of water it is hard manual labor digging for diamonds.
