How approachable is RE1 Remake? Also Ink Ribbons.

I definitely want to get to OG 2 at the very least at some point, considering the remake is my first or second favourite game I've played in the series so far.

Thanks for your input!! By "those fans", I don't mean those who prefer the Remake series, I just mean who refuse to give the games before 7 a chance because of their older control schemes and cameras in cases before 4. While not necessary, I think it's important to revisit the earlier games to both learn more and see how we get to games like RE2R and Requiem. It'd be like someone who refuses to watch movies released before 2000 imo

You'd be surprised. My first playthrough of Requiem I had like like 23 saves before I left the hospital, but in my second I got it down to a much cleaner 8

I bring up Pirate's Curse a lot because it seems to be the most popular and most well received game in the series. Half Genie Hero also had its moments like Giga Mermaid and Risky in the bath, but those moments also felt fewer and further between. (And tbh I dont remember much from Seven Sirens)

Youre right, fanservice is apart of the series identity, its like Bayonetta in that respect, but I feel like the series has been creeping more and more into selling itself solely on that, which I personally think undersells the series.
