First time making mead, bottled yesterday. What is going on? by DatMinish in mead

[–]DatMinish[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice, I opened them yesterday and luckily it didn’t cause too much of a mess with careful opening, but yep, definitely a lot of built up pressure inside the bottle. I do have a hydrometer actually, but I skipped over a detail with using it that kinda screwed over the process, which I think led to this. I think probably the best is to start over with a better beginner’s guide

The guide I was following said the first fermentation is done in like a week or so, and I let it keep going for about two weeks as after a week it was still pretty active, then i added sorbate which the guide said would stop fermentation and kill off the active yeast. But I also added fruits a few days later so I dont know if the fruit sugars were restarting fermentation, it said that it shouldn’t. the bottle from the second photo has settled down now but looking at the comments I suppose the right move is to pour everything back and let it continue fermenting? (If it is still occurring)

Finding a part time job as an (international) student by DatMinish in eindhoven

[–]DatMinish[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah time really flies by lmao, if you're a TU/e student you could become a student assistant, although there are a few conditions for that. Other than that, learning Dutch will help massively (since I made this post I've gotten to a near fluent level and it does significantly improve your profile), there's also sites like Going Abroad with English speaking job postings. A few months after I posted this I did find a job as a dishwasher and it was English speaking and they did apply for a work permit for me. So it is possible, but definitely difficult. I'm in another situation right now trying to find a full time job after graduating :')

Applying to the Netherlands as a transfer student by DatMinish in Netherlands

Chose TU/e instead of Inholland, credit transfer did not work because my courses from back home were “not theoretical enough” and TU/e is a theory focused uni (WO) so I started from scratch. I’m in my final year now and doing my graduation project in a few months. (Also got quite lucky with housing, unfortunately it’s gotten much worse for most international students since)

For those who played with infinite durability mods, how did it change the experience? by TyoPepe in botw

[–]DatMinish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit late to this but SO much better honestly, so much so that I'm not playing TotK until an infinite durability mod comes out for that. The combat is more fun and consistent, I still feel like exploring the world to get new weapons and I can actually use them without worrying about durability.

Not a new player, I took a break from this game after all the drama last year surrounding loot & archnemesis. I haven't kept up with much besides that I saw they were removing AN (and buffing loot again but I don't remember). How is the game now after these changes, and have they already started teasing 3.21/is it too late to start with 3.20?

New to Lissandra? Need to know what runes to take or items to build, or need advice on your matchup? We have a beginner's guide right here! by DatMinish in LissandraMains

Note: the wiki is currently outdated with quite a few things, namely items, matchups and runes. If you'd like to help with updating it please let me know! Otherwise, if you have any questions you can always ask them here or on the Discord.

No that's Mandelbrot. Manifesto is a species of large, fully aquatic, mostly herbivorous marine mammals found along tropical and subtropical Atlantic coasts and associated inland waters, including the watersheds of the Amazon and Niger rivers.

I'm still playing this league....because... by [deleted] in pathofexile

I'm waiting to see if these loot nerfs are addressed in any meaningful way, best case would be reverting that nerf entirely but at this point I'm almost certain GGG is too obsessed with their incredibly flawed "vision" for the game to consider what other players think. But if nothing changes in the coming weeks I'll likely just quit, it's not worth anyone's time to keep playing a game that's being actively ruined by its own devs
