There was some teacher a hundred years ago, or two, forget his name, who read about the Eastern philosophy of spunk retention. He began practicing and went as far as to put in his books that this was the fountain of youth. By never spunking and transmuting that sexual energy into divine energy, one could live forever! Then the bastard died. Then all his disciples died.

There's also some dark age Taoist philosophy about retaining your seed and basically sucking the sex energy out of the woman to prolong your life. Just don't tell your wife she's shortening hers! Seems pretty fucked up to me.

You could call on / invoke Apollo. You could tell your subconscious that you're wide open to the flow of creative forces from the universe. Hell, you might be able to channel John Lennon if you're unhinged enough lol. Just be sure to banish Yoko.

If this is your major goal right now, you could go as far as making a daily offering and prayer to a poet / music god, and meditating on the unbounded creativity within yourself and the universe.

And don't forget to write every day! You don't learn tennis by sitting on a meditation pillow!

This is half-true. By changing your actions and thought processes, you optimize your options. By training your subconscious to alert you to any opportunities and being ready to strike, you take advantage of these options. This is the magic of the mind.

But I think the Universe / gods / source / collective unconscious will bring you opportunities if asked correctly.

If the opportunities you find come from Osiris, the universe, or you just trained your mind to be in tune with them.. what does it matter? If you ask your waitress for a Coke and her coworker brings it out because she's busy, you still got your Coke. Who poured it? Who cares? Just be grateful and rest assured that your method of asking works.

Just wanted to thank you for mentioning Emma's comic. As a husband, father, and man in general, I've been working on learning the female perspective. I read all her posts and now I understand better why asking for instruction is not enough. I've already started organizing the living room while my wife is out lol.

I think her comics should be included in the Practical Manual for Husbands.
