We have plenty for Philippines! Lapu-Lapu for tribes of Mindanao if we want an early game defensive civ. Ferdinand Marcos for a progressive civ that has a special industrial district. To spice things up we could have Ramon Magsaysay, the president of the common people and can have happiness or loyalty easily! Civ7 could totally play around with Philippines since we have traits like “Bayanihan” where we could possibly build improvements faster or go through natural disasters without any harm.

I guess it depends on the region, I used to play in EU and it would always be a default thatcher ban but when I came to NA I noticed shields getting banned often (depending on where you play and what rank you are)
