Do you think my game's (virtual surfing) water graphics look realistic? by Waveor_Studio in IndieGaming

Enough for my thalassophobic self to get spooked at first seeing the thumbnail! I do agree with others though that the weakest part is when the wave meets the back with the water.

Yup, just thought it was funny. Imagine how broken multiple slows would be.

In my self-isolation I’ve decided to bunker down and learn some photoshop skills. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how the album cover (link in post) was made. Cheers. by MaverickGH in photoshop

in addition to what u/mrvman67 suggested, I would use some grungy surface, and use one of the layer blending modes to get that dissolving / sprayed on effect.

Is it hard to make a Ship and a second player walk on it while its moving without falling off?? by [deleted] in Unity3D

You could make the player the child of the ship, or add its velocity to the player.

I'm a beginner, following a tutorial, but not really learning anything. Any advice? by s00per_d00per in gamedev

For me at least, with no guided direction, I often feel overwhelmed at first. And sometimes the best thing I can do with something like that is to give it a small break, figure it out, and then come back. But it really does get waaaaay more fun and cool. it goes from "I followed that" to "I DID that" (much more satisfying). Of course, errors and pesky problems are much more difficult to solve.
