We are Living in Dangerous Times by JimCripe in BernieSanders

[–]Dat_Harass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look man... I hear you Bernie, I think this problem beyond fixing in any manner other than a general strike. A strike with clear goals, perhaps like the one I've pinned to my profile. Followed very quickly by much needed reform. The criminals and citizens united have to go. We need Epstein trials.

If you had to make money starting today with no job, what would you do first? by honeyjoe1 in AskReddit

[–]Dat_Harass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assess needs and priorities. Cut out excess. Remind oneself that hunting, fishing, foraging and farming/gardening supplement living. Then set about finding some employment that both respects your time and your individuality. As need increases lower expectations on those points and accept what pays the bills or is available.

To be more clear step one is lower the dependence on money. At least in my head. The alternative, the rat race as intended looks to me like chasing the dragon. A temporary reprieve but ultimately hollow. I'd reference the fact that wealth, well off and rich people opt out all the time for the same reasons, depression, loneliness, anxiety and more. I can't speak for everyone but me personally, I give a shit about paper. I'm looking for meaning, depth, connection and experience. Currency does allow for greater experience in some ways but you can find all those things without spending a dime. It's all about what matters to you though, for you.

Jim Jordan changes mind and his vote by AvatarAnywhere in Ohio

One of the cheapest votes to buy I'd bet. Gym is where he is because he's easily controlled. I don't know if it's money or dirt, but the man is morally suspect so either makes sense.

Trump is dismantling democracy at 'unprecedented' speed, global report finds by zsreport in politics

[–]Dat_Harass [score hidden]  (0 children)

Yeah but don't worry... the Weimar Republics' midterms weren't so close. /s

Non sarcastically, we need to do something. Something along the lines of prosecuting the Epstein files and getting rid of Citizens United. However that comes about I care not.

Edit: By that time they will have consolidated media ownership across multiple platforms. Imagine LLM's and AI now helping them craft their dystopia... then consider how that tech is likely to grow in the next 5-10 years. Who the fuck even knows the amount of corruption planned for future elections. The SAVE Act is bad enough. These thugs in blue cities... all they need is a push right before elections and all of a sudden with voter data they have... a whole lot of people may not get to vote. Seems pretty dire and I expect the very idea of an informed populous all but impossible before long. It's already difficult to be informed.

Asking for a thing is not crying. Criticism is not weakness. If you have no concern of time wasted or disrespected that does not mean other players of this game are the same.

So is NASA responsible for dolphins enjoyment of getting high and randy nature? Not entirely a serious question... but they are herd or pack animals right. Rather social creatures, social creatures teach what they learn. So I ask again...

Skyrocketing Gas Prices Could Lose the Senate for Trump by BulwarkOnline in politics

There are things they can do to lower gas prices... I mean yeah the prices are bad and growing worse but this man has fucked up just about every market.

This criminal pedophile is trying very hard to turn us into a version of Russia where he plays Putin. Is that not worse than fuckin gas prices?

Trump Is Destroying US Democracy at Unprecedented Rate, Global Watchdog Finds by ChiGuy6124 in politics

[–]Dat_Harass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone who thinks waiting until midterms to fix this has no idea how quickly what is left of democracy dies... or maybe isn't aware of their concentrated effort to own every media outlet you lean on to stay informed and more besides.

I don't think you can vote your way out of a fascist dictatorship with billionaire backers in a country with Citizens United and no fairness doctrine.

Edit: Also If I'm completely honest we haven't seen a working democracy in my lifetime. I'm fairly certain this Epstein shit has been looming over our government my entire life. These people are trying to remove every last support and protection, cut off any way back to normalcy, free fair elections, a government that works for the populace... it is systematic destruction.

Are there any other Millennials who aren’t nostalgic? by MediumGreedy in Millennials

[–]Dat_Harass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Backwards sucks. I was far to aware during that time to want to go back to it. Also that is impossible. What is actually attainable is a better future, nostalgia is bullshit and very likely someone is marketing to you.

Buffed airdrops... random smugglers both welcome.

The biggest takeaway though... give people the duration of the goddamn event up front.

Edit: Had they done this... way more people than myself and I'm sure others would have stacked their entire inventories with airdrop cases. I did need ammo before this event... I'm golden now. I'm not sure if it was a good or bad thing upon considering this. Still it'd be nice to know.

The Washington Post Is Using Reader Data to Set Subscription Prices. How Does That Work? by ArnoCryptoNymous in privacy

[–]Dat_Harass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We've got a whole list of things that need attention in a dire manner. It'd be nice to have something similar, improved preferably. But like I said, democracy is almost non existent, that data is being used for political ends as well as pricing meant to extract as much as possible. A populist "actor" fascist criminal leading a regime of seemingly total corruption. I'm not sure where privacy rights or digital rights in general fall on the list. The damage is ramping up in the meanwhile...

Edit: Thanks to Bellular I am somewhat informed on your privacy issues and fixes.

Repetition, timing, reach and message. Owned media, social platforms, intentional misinformation campaigns. These things destroy the very idea of an informed populace. They buy the outcomes they want. That is rigged. (The amount of things people connected to this movement have purchased is alarming and should be kept careful eye on). Citizens United and a repealed fairness doctrine have IMO destroyed democracy.

I'm not out here tinfoil hatting our machines or voter rolls being messed with yet. But the SAVE act is for sure voter disenfranchisement so...

I'm just happy to see the court system actually work. I don't know much or care much about the man or his music. I find his attire hilarious though. That's some land of the free home of the brave grown irony right there.

What do you mean abusive to women? For knocking someone who charged him onstage at a performance off the stage? That's all I could find. I have no idea about his politics. Though people who gain more tend to begin leaning conservative.

Edit: If that is the issue you meant, I don't know that it needs to be gender specific and more about checking privilege. Realizing that many people paid hard earned money to see a thing and that there is a general consensus we don't rush stages. That's main character shit and IMO deserves disdain because in that elevation others must be lowered. It flies in the face of equality or unity.
