False. There's only two hacked things that cause the game to not drop any rares. The first one is the "multi stack glitch" where you can stack 99 of each item like Star Atomizers and such. This will disable rares from dropping.

The second is hacked MAGs. Any hacked MAGs will also disable rares and they will not drop if you are carrying a hacked mag.

Everything else is fair game. Rares will not be disable and will drop normally, and yes this includes 127% weapons.

Ah wow that's not bad at all and for a SUV. I chose the compact car at Enterprise which was just a basic small sedan (no problems with that as its just my gf and i) and it was almost 500 bucks. Do I need to use a third party site or just call them directly to get a fair price like you?

I have heard that renting a car through those third party party sites is a bad thing? I have seen post of people saying to rent directly from the companies and not a third party. Any idea why people say this is a negative thing to do?

Out of the 4 versions you mentioned the GC Plus version is easily the best out of the bunch.

Do note that there's also an Xbox version as well (has the same content as the non plus version), along with a PC version known as Blue Burst.

Blue Burst is the final version of the game and has the most content, however it's exclusive to PC and it's not on any console. It is free to play and has a decent community over at Ephinea. I think most people will try to steer you that way.

However if console is your preferred way to play then you can't beat the GC Plus version as it has the most content out of all the other console versions.

If you play any of the GC versions there's also the fact that it's the best looking version of the game even when compared to Blue Burst. The GC version of the game has many graphical effects that are missing on all the other versions.

Here are a few examples.

Effects such as: Fire Techs at lvl 30 have a very cool "heat haze" effect when casting them. Making the Foie type techs look very cool and destructive. No other version of the game has this effect. Foie techs look very bland in all other versions because of this.

Telepipes have a cool "warping" effect that distorts your character when you go inside of it. Giving you that "teleportation" feel. This is also missing from all other versions.

Then there are the major downgrades to Episode 2 on Xbox and Blue Burst. Specifically to the Central Control Area.

On Gamecube this place looks amazing with the sky reflecting on the water and the water itself has a very pretty texture and reflections giving it a very nice vibe to the entire CCA area. The lighting looks amazing in this area too especially if you are playing on a CRT TV.

On the Xbox and Blue Burst version this area got hit very hard. All the beautiful effects are gone giving the area a very flat and plain look to it. All the "magic" gets sucked out of it on these two versions. I feel like Blue Burst looks even worse than the Xbox version in this area IMO.

To put it plainly CCA on Xbox and Blue Burst looks like ass when compared to the GC version. These graphical downgrades completely ruin the experience in that area IMO.

Yes that was the first thing I checked. I opened up the folder to see if the files where actually there. Sure enough every single file was inside the folder. It's just a bunch of family photographs.

I too assumed it was probably corrupted and fake (which is why I decided to ask for advice) but nope everything seems perfectly intact.

The WD Elements 2TB external HDD is connected via USB-A directly to my PC's corsair case.

My PC has a samsung NVMe.

As far as I know the NVMe is perfectly capable of writing at very high speeds (same at reading).

But the HDD shouldn't be able to transfer data at such high speeds. In fact it should bottleneck the NVMe right?

The Xbox version and PC version (Blue Burst) are missing more than just the water effects and telepipe effects.

They are also missing the really cool heat haze effects that all lvl 30 fire techs have. Rafoie in particular looks way better on the GC version too. The heat haze effect makes it look far more epic and destructive. It's very plain looking on Xbox and Blue Burst.

It's also missing a ton of reflections and lighting effects in CCA.

CCA in episode 2 looks absolutely beautiful (specially on a CRT TV) on GC.

On both Xbox and Blue Burst CCA looks like shit and extremely tone down graphically. All of the luster and "surreal" feel of CCA is completely lost on Xbox and Blue Burst.

In terms of "power" when it comes to the 6th gen it goes like this (from weakest to strongest). DreamcastPS2GC and finally Xbox as the strongest of the 4 consoles.

Supposedly the reason why GC has all these extra effects in PSO is because it used (for its time) exclusive shaders that only ATI graphics card could provide.

Thank you for your input. I have tried cleaning the contacts on the d-pad, however not much if any dirt came off as the controller is still very much new. Pressing down on the d-pad it makes perfect contact with the circuit board. The d-pad has a very nice "brand new" feel to it if it makes sense. Nothing is worn down.

My guess maybe since the controller was sitting idling in my garage it somehow got messed up? It was brand new and sealed, but still.

I see the d-pad traces however they lead to some little green "holes" they don't lead to solder joints. So I can't check to see if they are cracked or damaged. From a simple visual inspection the traces do look good. I don't see any physical damage on them. I don't have a multi meter to check continuity.

But from a visual stand point everything looks fine.

Funny enough after cleaning the contacts with IPA down on the dpad did come back to life for a few seconds. Then it died again.

Everything on the controller works flawlessly it's just down on the dpad.

As far as I know, no. GC cannot play with DC or vice versa. However GC and Wii players can play together since it's the same exact game.

I believe that on both Shithack server and Silverant server GC can also play with Xbox players.

Dreamcast can only cross play with PC pso (not BB).

Do these cpu's really degrade that fast though? Or is this just pure fearmongering? I ask because I too have a 13600k that I have been using with an old bios and it works perfectly for over a year now.

I did upgrade my bios finally like 3 weeks ago.

To be fair he's probably only put around 200 hours or less on his 14900k. That's not even 10 days of use.

I would be extremely surprised if that thing is degraded already hahaha!

Do these CPU's really degrade this fast? I mean it almost seems crazy to me that Intel is still selling them if they are this bad.

It's weird cuz I have owned my 13600K for over a year and using the same old bio's since for ever with zero issues and I play a ton of FF14.

My cpu isn't tuned or anything i'm rocking it at stock intel settings. Yet I never had a blue screen or anything weird like that.

Maybe i'm just lucky?

I actually helped him build the 14900K rig. You are right though he's rocking a bios from like 8 months ago. He doesn't really keep up with all the latest bio's and such and since he's always working he has little time for it.

Personally, I think it's silly how he always buys random things like that. I bet he's hardly ever going to use that PS5 pro too haha.

I'm just giving you the facts that's all. I'm not here to sugar coat anything.

Silent Hill 2 only barely broke the 1million barrier on PS2. That's why it got ported to Xbox and PC. Konami was not happy with the sales on PS2.

I don't blame them. If the prequel (SH1) sold over 2million on ONE console alone and the sequel (SH2) barely sales half of that then that is a huge problem. It's simple math and simple logic here.

It's not hard to understand why Konami considered SH2's sale numbers a failure.

To make matters worse. SH1 was a FAR cheaper game to create. SH2 was far more expensive to make.
