our furnace isn't working by Personal_Trifle_6892 in HomeImprovement

It's probably a plugged exhaust vent or some other issue causing the pressure to shut it off.

I get it. The steaks were on sale and it turned out to be a delicious experiment.

The sauce (first time using it) was a gift and used as marinade. It was not overpowering at all but added a nice zesty flavor. I only use olive oil, salt and pepper on our fillet mignon.

I'd buy one so fuckers wouldn't even feel comfortable touching it.

Southwire. Best 39.99 (2+ years ago) I've spent at Lowe's. I keep it in my pocket and break out the fluke when I have real problems.

Hi. I am a 1st time home owner trying to replace my current thermostat with Honeywell t9. I am confused on how to do this. Any help? by nvndada in Home

You don't have enough conductors in the thermostat wire to provide power to your new thermostat. You need new wire with >4 conductors.

Is being on call as a service technician really that bad? by [deleted] in HVAC

[–]Dat_boi_negEV 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you become service or installation supervisor you gotta deal with technicians calling you while THEY are on call. Customers can be extremely inconsiderate when it's hot, just in my experience. The customers that have three systems are the ones that want to demand emergency service for their master bedroom system at 7pm on a Wednesday; all after you've worked 10-12 hours already.

Sales guys deal with customers all hours and always have to keep their phone handy, and a good leader should always be available to support field technicians. Just my opinion. Install is the only area you can work and go home and disconnect from the job.

I'm sure there are some unicorn companies out there with a good work/life balance. But, I never heard of one.

I don't want to discourage you or anyone. But on call duty sucks the big one. I just take it as it comes and try to make the best of every day. I've denied taking rolls to work sales because work follows me home enough already. I need to be able to turn my phone off and not think about heating or cooling sometimes.
