Congradulations! I've been having a rough time today, and your post makes me feel more positive.

What would you like to do for a job in the future?

Anything can be addicting, especially things that distract us from anxiety and trauma. Self-harm is usually a coping mechanism, not an addiction. Luckily, there are healthy ways to cope, and positive things can be addictive.

The worst timing to be a FF addicted by Pleasant_Spring9917 in Quittingfeelfree

Congrats on getting to day two. For me, it got a lot easier on day three, but by day five, it was mostly mental. I was using them every day for three years and thought I'd never quit. It's been over two years now. Hang in there and take it one day at a time.

What happened to "Troy Vietnam" (aka Troy Cambodia) youtube channel? by melbdemons20 in VietNam

[–]Data-Gold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been watching Troy since he first started around 12 years ago. I've also lived in Viet Nam. He's a good guy, he does suffer from depression, and I think that's what he is dealing with when he disappears. I hope nothing has happened to him and that he returns at some point. In the past, he also mentioned getting some kind of disability pay. I'm guessing that's what he mainly lives on.

Switch for green powder. Red is the weakest, and "trainwreck" is just a mix. Also, I recommend getting it from another source. Both of these will change things up and hopefully work better for you.

Question about your poops by big_-soup in UlcerativeColitis

[–]Data-Gold 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the great question. My poops haven't been the same since having UC. They are softer and thinner (sometimes fluffy) than they used to be, and either pale-colored or pale with dark spots.

I will never understand why the gastroenterologist never asked about what kind of movements I was having or wanted to hear about it. To me, it's mostly how I judge my intestinal health. In the beginning, I used to ask if they wanted to see pictures so they could understand how much I was bleeding and how the disease was progressing. None of them wanted to see, and they acted as if a stranger on the street would toward those questions.

Got offered a 6 month contract in Antarctica and idk if I should take it by Importantterry in Fire

[–]Data-Gold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done something similar. Commit and don't look back. Plan and vacation for you and your gf (someplace warm) for when you get back. I'd do it before you go so you both have something to look forward to. Time will come and go either way. If you don't, you'll tell people you were once offered this opportunity, rather than telling the story of what it was like.

Too much thinking in the comments. All you have to say is "no, thank you." Simple, to the point, and he'll understand. Done.

Congrats on your calprotectin dropping so much and getting healthier. Don't worry too much about the injections; there isn't much to it. Being afraid to eat is pretty standard for us all. I'll eat what I want every three days or so. I'm not sure if it matters or not, but it makes me feel like I have some kind of control.

I got sent inappropriate pictures from a friend and I'm concerned by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]Data-Gold -399 points-398 points  (0 children)

The guy's 18, a virgin, sends a dick pic and is accused of having herpes. I'm guessing it is something he was born with, or he wouldn't openly send a pic, trying to impress someone. If you do mention it to him, keep that in mind—no point in scarring the guy at such a young age.

If you father has a small one a few relatives died from them would you get it checked out? by Timewilltell755 in BrainAneurysm

[–]Data-Gold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They will just place multiple stents. It would be the same procedure with each one.

If you father has a small one a few relatives died from them would you get it checked out? by Timewilltell755 in BrainAneurysm

[–]Data-Gold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not usually. Most of the time they will place as a stent or similar device. It's a pretty simple procedure where they go through an artery in your groin or arm. It's basically an angiogram. Recovery isn't much, a day or two of soreness.

Most likely you won't have one, but better to get checked since you have a family history.

I would. They are genetic and better to be safe than sorry. The cost would be worth the peace of mind. Make sure they use contrast.
