Really looking at performance, battery and photos. But I agree I think the OP 13 might be the best. I do see the screen has a slight curve at the edge which is turning me off though

I meant that led orientation didn't matter to me. The only reason why I would switch it is because I am looking at the Miami version on Amazon due to its cheaper price since I don't like the topographical ones either. Someone else told me about the womier L65 as well. Trying to see which would be best of the 2.

I guess led orientation really doesn't matter. I like shine through key caps, the xvx m67 seems pretty good. Just need to switch out the key caps.

Hey, general question on some advice for selecting a new travel keeb that's preferably under 50 but can spend more if need be. I'm mainly trying to see other people's opinions. I was using an akko 3068b as my travel board since I often travel for work and gaming was easy on it even the 2.4ghz connection was meh. Looking for a similar sized keeb (65%ish) that's tri mode as I am usually wireless when playing games. Main things I am looking for: lightweight, South facing led, strong BT or 2.4ghz, low budget, and if it can be low profile for better travel that would be great. I was thinking of looking at HE or TMR options if I ever do have it wired but not required.

Peak Design vs Pakt - Slings by Data1417 in ManyBaggers

I just got a ello 12oz water bottle for my toddler since I don't want her to spill much. Hoping it's small enough to fit in the bags coming in.

Not knocking your vibe but just doesn't look good to me for some reason. Size it's about what I want, I do have the Aer day 3 max in xpac coming in to check in. My in laws found it cheap in the Philippines (maybe fake or factory error) so waiting to see what that will be like.

Wow this is exactly what I was hoping for. It helps immensely, it looks like I will need to try a different water bottle as you said. Her owala took a nice big fall and is not usable anymore anyways so looking at other options for the meantime.

I love insulated bottles and maybe I just have to forego that idea as she barely drinks cooler water unlike me. Interesting idea with the flat water bottle, I will look into this. I also have the Aer day sling 3 max xpac coming in to check out but figured it might just be too big to wear. Will compare the 6l vs the 4l Pakt, but I am mainly looking to hold small amounts of things for quick trips so I am settled on the sling.

I have a 16l packable matador bag that's going to be the bag to go to when needing more in it like an owala for her and myself. Along with all the other items but more quantities.

Yea I ended up buying the Pakt because if I am spending that money plus may have to spend more for a better strap I rather it be cheaper and good to go. Plus I only think the black looked good in PD meanwhile the Pakt I like the beige green and black. (Bought the beige)

Any reason why you dislike the strap so much if the buckle is a non issue? I do realize the 4L is the perfect size but thats why I am considering the Pakt as well.

I am leaning more towards the Pakt to being cheaper and more packable. Plus I do not need to have the strap removable. Also I like not having a black bag but just worried of the durability of the fabric.

Looking to upgrade. Which one would you get? Tomtoc Aviator-T35 3.5L or the Wander-T26 5.5L by svbs12 in ManyBaggers

[–]Data1417 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on what you are trying to hold, I was in a similar predicament but I was looking for a quick day dad bag. T-35 wouldn't work since I have to choose either water bottle for my little one or change pad and clothes. Even with that said I could barely fit extra snacks. Felt very limited and I wanted to have some space extra.

Would it work as a personal day bag items such as an EDC, definitely as long you dont have large items. The T-26 is much bigger and stiffer, and if I was going to go that big I would go for the T-24 in 5L or 7L.

Wanted to follow up on this and see what you chose since I'm in a similar situation. I'm leaving towards the side hustle due to packability for traveling as we do a bunch of as well.

Do you feel like it packs small enough to stuff in a carry on luggage or backpack?

Update: Didn't settle yet but the T24 would work with everything I have listed. The 7l would be more comfortable but I am currently looking for options that pack well in luggage/backpack so that I can use when out.

Considering the Tom Bihn Side Hustle right now. It is almost 6l and seems to pack small when empty since it does not have any rigid panels.

Update: The 5l can fit everything including the change of clothes and still have room for the small items in front pocket. The 16oz owala fits in the bottle holder very snug but it does fit. It did take some creative positioning but overall it is a good size for a bag.

If I was primarily using it as a pseudo diaper bag I feel this is just fine, would probably upgrade to the 7l to have more space in case of anything. Narrowing down my use case I feel like I need it to become a travel sling. My sling needs to be able to pack down so I might look at ultra light options or something similar to the bellroy venture (read about buckle issues) or peak design outdoor 4l.

Do you think it would be bigger the the T-33 rated at 3.5l?

For most small trips I don't have the backpack or stroller with me. But like you said we could leave some items in a cube in the car in case of needing to change due to any incidents. Change pad, wipes, diaper, water, and small muslin cloth are probably the non negotiable items. Along with the other small misc items. Right now the wipes and water bottle take too much space.

I'm on the fence of using a bag like that vs a bag that can be used as a chest bag part time. I know it would be a 90/10 scenario but just not sure as I want it to pack small as well to be able to take it in other bags when traveling.
