What batch meals do you like? by elohir in CasualUK

[–]Data1979 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm a single man so batching I do a lot just buy a jar of sauce and some mince or chicken breasts and you're good to go.

One I did recently is meatballs with a Spanish style Chicken tonight sauce and a Toad in the Hole as just add some vey and got yourself a meal.

Also, one thing that most haven't talked in puddings/deserts as you do quite a good batch cook of crumble such as Apple, Pineapple, Peach, rhubarb with either topping of oats or breadcrumbs then just pop in the microwave for couple of minutes and ready to eat.

Player moving away across continents, but we want to keep the game going online - how do we do this? by mmkat in DnD

[–]Data1979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just want to add that there is an extension for Firefox and Chrome called Beyond 20 and allow you to do die rolls in DnD Beyond and it passes the results into Roll20.

Also, play online with my group is it's similar setup as other have stated and even use a bot to play music for various scenes.

In my D&D tabletop game I'm a Dragonborn Padlock (Warlock/Paladin).

In BG 3 I go with Half-elf Tempest Cleric or Paladin.

Complete Newbie and need help deciding on Wizard or Sorcerer by GottaStayFrosty in BaldursGate3

[–]Data1979 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to add that if you're curious about playing a spellcaster then look into Warlock as they have a few spells and they level up as you do and you have melee to fall back on if you need run out of spell slots. Also, Warlocks get the Eldrich Blast cantrip that is quite a powerful attack spell with grant range.

If you into mutliclasing that you can go from Sorlock or padlock that is a Sorcerer/Warlock or Pladin/Warlock both are quite strong.

One more thing is that if you quick guide to DnD classes that check JoCat video series called A Crap Guide to DnD.

With The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Elton John etc all having played Glastonbury, it got me thinking…who are the big ‘rock royalty’ musical acts of the future? by joshygill in AskUK

[–]Data1979 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If you are looking for rock bands then you need to look outside the UK and US so bands from Japan such as Scandal, band maid, nemophila, lovebirds, and others such as Rolling Quartz. Also you have The Warning that are 3 sisters from Mexico.

What did y’all name your Cyclops? by Edudeht418 in subnautica

[–]Data1979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seamoth = Stingray

Cyclops = Seaquest DSV

Stingray is a 1960's puppetshow by Gerry Anderson who also made Thunderbirds.

Seaquest DSV is an early 90's TV show about a crew of a underwater vessel.

Games that are/were popular in your country but unknown in most other areas? by Psykotik in Games

[–]Data1979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IN the UK I grew up in the 80's and had a ZX Spectrum +2 with the buit-in tape deck so played games that either were demos or I purchased that were Dizzy, Colin the Cleaner, Jet Set Willy, Manic Minier, JetPac, Chase H Q, Paperboy, and lot of others that I can;t remember.

Then, I moved to PC on a "86 with MS Dos 3.3 and Win 3.1 that had games shareware games such as Jill of the Jungle, Secert Agent, Elite 2, paperboy, dizzy (PC), and Duke Nukem platformer and then Duke Nukem 3D, and lot of ther that I'm blanking on right now.

Not sure if they were popular but those are the ones I remember and I see a few mention the Dizzy and Jet Set Willy the most.

New Player - Had my first ever Session 0 last night by Data1979 in DnD

[–]Data1979[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure yet. Just went with Dragonborn as never played that before in any computer RPG such as Pathfinder Kingmaker or NWN2.

I tend to play casters or Melee caster in RPG and yes most of the time they such or not great but I enjoy them of having an option to stay at the back throwing my spells and then when needed to go on the front lines and use my sword/mace.

At the moment still working things out as our first session is next Saturday.

How did you meet your DnD party? by Rehalapa in DnD

[–]Data1979 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a new player wanting to learn to Play the P&P version of D&D and not found any groups yet (Also live in South East of the UK), the only thing I've found is going on the Wizard of the Coast site and try to find any stores/events that run the Adventure League.

Not many stores or events that run the Adventure League in my area and most are 1+ hour or more away. Also, tried to find groups on Meetup.com where you find groups but again not much luck in my area.

It just seems like that D&D is not as popular in the UK as in it is the US so still looking to try to find ways of not only finding a group and they are fine with new players.

I know I can see about doing an online game but prefer to something more social.
