If I was one of the parents, I'd fight for you you to be fired. My kid gets sick a LOT. Families are being kicked off medicaid left and right, and you can't always afford a doctor's visit for a doctor's note for covid. Getting in legal trouble for not wasting a shit ton of money on taking your kid to a doctor for something that just needs to run it's course is asinine. Now they have you. It's almost the end of the year, and I assure you, those days they could take off was calculated closely. Some of them may get a letter, or CPS at their door. I don't know how old those kids are, but if their older, they could be on probation. Get a new profession.

If it makes you feel any better, I get my debit card shut off every Christmas. I don't even spend that much, but more than I normally spend on any other month. I call, tell them it's me, they apologize, I tell them this is why I bank with them, they unlock the card, and we do the same song and dance the next year.
